  1. Maybe you think they have the qualities you are after because everyone else says those qualities are good. Maybey you don't want 'perfect guys', but the perfect guy FOR you (he himself may not be perfect).
  2. It's true that "love comes when U stop looking for the perfect person" like you said. Besides...not everyone ends up finding The One. Look around you, I am sure you've got happy single friends. And look at the couples around you, not all of them are happy. Important thing in life is to be able to appreciate the present. So you are single, that means you have opportunity to find a better person. You said you feel comfortable being alone, that means you are independent. And you are special, you don't need someone else in order to prove that. Instead of looking for love, concentrate on study or work. I am sure when the time is right, fate will bring you surprises.
  3. I know what you are trying to say. Yes, it's in built within us that we are always after a new adventure, a new style...a new person. The fact that we get '"New" euphoric feeling' is because we are getting to know a stranger and we see all the good things they have to offer, while blind to the flaws behind the 'perfect' exterior. Once we have the person, we'll soon start to realise their short comings, it's easy loose that initial attraction. The reason for your to get tired after dating a guy for a while is because you haven't yet found the quality you wanted in those guys. Once you have found a person, and like him because of who he is deep down, i am sure you won't have trouble committing.
  4. As long as they are all happy about it, then it's okay.
  5. Pre-relationship, if two likes one another, then the 3rd person need to back out, especially if one of the two people involved is your friend. It doesn't matter who met who first. If two people have feeling for one another, anyone else is a 3rd wheel. During a relationship, if you try to go for her while your friend still likes her. You are stealing your friend's girlfriend. My may loose your friend (good friends are hard to find, while there are many good chicks out there). You need at least wait until they have broken up. If she is not interested in him, sooner or later they are going to split, and you can go for her then.
  6. also vote for stushing it away. Maybe even dig a hole and bury it...
  7. Girl, value yourself more! You deserve to be with someone who truly loves you. Reward the ones you love and values you with sex. Otherwise, have sex only when YOU want to!
  8. I'd be very careful about her if i am in your position. She doesn't need to feel romantic towards you to borrow your money. So she may see you only as a friend. Furthermore, she may be a geniune friend, and is glad that you helped out, OR she may take the money and run off. If you like her, you should tell her. Money cannot buy her love. And if she did, she might love your money rather than you.
  9. Maybe her family had some influences on her, or that she tries to cover it up while her family are around. Maybe ask if anything is troubling her, and if she is still cold, wait a couple of days and see if she changes back.
  10. If just friends, then it's okay. As long as you two are both aware.
  11. See what happens at the meet up. She may not be what you imagined her to be online.
  12. For me, I do a plan before hand. And always make deadlines a little early, because i know i would slack off. But if I see that I should have studied case 22 by today, and i am only up to 18, i would panick, and at least finish to case 20. It works well for me =)
  13. I also agree on that having lunch and giving rides to other female is okay. If you have faith in your boyfriend, then you shouldn't worry about things like that. Then again, occasional lunch is okay. Blowing you off for a lunch with another female friend is not acceptable unless she's in some serious problem/trouble. As for rides, same goes. Rides everyday and she's not his way home, that may indicate trouble. But i think it's important that you let him have his female friends. You probably won't like it if he won't let you get in touch with your male friends.
  14. Dude, don't be so rough with us girls. I've heard in the past that "girls have sex because of love, guys in fall love because of sex". That may be a little exaggeration, but there's some truth behind it. Relationship is different to a one night standards is that relationship requires both sex and emotions. From what you said, she seems to really love you, and you should treasure her, and show her some romance. Maybe you get to know what it is like from her side of relationship, and understand it may not be easy for her too.
  15. Sophie is smart, tested for STI is really important! As to when to have sex, it's when you feel that you are ready. Don't push yourself to sleep with him, only your subconscious will tell you when the time comes.
  16. Thanks Guest12345678 and Juliana. You gave me really good advices. and it's good that you two both agree with the same thing. No dilemma makes life a lot easier for me ^_^. thanks tonnes guys, i'll update with a result...next time i see him (hopefully sometime this month). Want to do things face to face =P. Hope that's a good idea.
  17. Jealousy is a part of normal human emotion. It doesn't necessary to have to do harm. all depends on how the person handles their jealousy. If one is able to confine their jealousy, hopefully someone will notice he/she is acting funny/weird, and then find out why he/she is jealous, their may be touched/happy to find out that his/her jealous sprouted from pure emotions. However, if their jealous gets out of hand and they do something really stupid and destructive...well there goes the end of the relationship/career.
  18. First of all, it's good that you recognise that you need help. Have you tried counsellors, youth groups, or even a GP about it? If you don't like your family GP, or afraid that he/she may tell your parents, go to a GP in a different surburb. They are there to geniunly help you, and give you geniun professional advice.
  19. A guy without female friend is perfectly normal. You probably just find it easier talking to males. You said "I think of them as either potential romantic possibilities or casual friends" does that mean you have casual female friends, just not close ones? As for attractive personality... the attractive part: Well I don't want to say this, but for most girls, look do matter too. Go figure why the hot guy is always surrounded by tonnes of chicks. the personality part: most girls put "humour" at the top of their list. It's always good to hung out with someone cracks you up all the time. Then there's considerate, ambitious, masculine, gentle, good listener, commited etc etc depending on the girl. NB: what girls want can be very contradictory.
  20. You are going through an extremely difficult situation, I imagine you must be full of mixed emotions. Allow yourself to take pity/sadness in yourself, you deserve some pampering, maybe ask your close friends for support and comfort. At the same time, he's also going through a difficult situation, and as a good friend, you may also need help him through it. I think once he has settled a little, you can make your final decision for yourself and act then.
  21. It's important to be able to have a great time by yourself. The more we depend on others to give us happiness, the more we despire when it doesn't happen. Stand up straight girl! Love yourself first, then people who you love, will start loving you back!
  22. Maybe do a little background research? Find out if he's a total player. Is he like that to many girls? Oh how i hate it when they are warm one minute and cool the other. A guy once told me that males also play relationship games!
  23. is this problem that complicated?? It's so much more difficult when you are in side the tinted glass looking out. So please help everyone.
  24. Hey, I am like that, not very sociable. But this is what i've gathered through the years: 1) don't try too hard 2) make sure you have at least 1 friend when you go to parties, it's always easier getting to know people when you in a pair - even if everyone busy within their group, at least you have this 1 friend 3) Don't feel inferior, imagine you are on the same level with everyone, and act naturally, once you've convinced yourself, you've convinced others 4) just keep a light smile on your face, people likes to face/talk/look at smiling faces than a frown. So start smiling today!! ^_^
