    Those all sound like great aspirations. However, if you want to improve your social skills, the best way to do so is by spending more time with people. I don't think reading, studying or politics will necessarily help.

    Actually, I think women are more likely to cheat when the relationship is in the intial stages. However I think men are more likely to cheat after, let's say, 20 years of marriage. I don't know why I think that. Just my perception.

    Way to go! You should be proud that your first time was such a success. It doesn't matter if she was on birth control. STI's are gross. Some can be cured and some can't. And it doesn't matter where you came. Pulling out does nothing to prevent the spread of STI's. For most STI's, it takes weeks or even months to show up and be detected. Visit a doctor and ask for his advice on when you should get it done. Remember, many STI's don't have symptoms, or it can take years for the symptoms to show.

    Women are much more forgiving than men when it comes to asthetics. If a guy is dating a 'less attractive' woman, he will hide her away and deny that he's dating her. If a woman is dating a 'less attractive' guy, she will still take him out and proudly show him off to her girlfriends. I think for men and women, personality is more important than looks. But men feel more pressure to have a hot chick to show off. Also, if a man has alot of money, then he has it made. He doesn't need looks or personality. He will still get some sexy bimbo.

    Please don't consider ending the relationship over this. It sounds like you have a good thing going. You could ask him what he thinks. Like "We both know you're not so good with the finances. What do you think we could do to fix that?" You could even make a list of some of the poor choices he's made, in case he denies it.

    Why are you in such a hurry? It's fun to get to know a guy slowly, bit by bit. It's like a sexy lapdance that just goes on and on. And it leads to a much more solid and healthy relationship. Also, you're right: It's not good to adjust yourself to fit him. You are sabotaging yourself without even knowing it. When he sees what you are doing, he will become turned off. My advice: Date some other guys in the meantime. Takes the pressure off.

    As you get older, you become more picky and set in your ways. When you have a meaningful relationship as a teenager, it teaches you how to be intimate. (Not just sex, but the intimacy that comes in a loving relationship.) How to open yourself up. I didn't have my first relationship until I was 24. I also consider myself to be cute and always had fun dating. Just wasn't interested in having a serious boyfriend. I feel like it screwed me up a bit. Or maybe I was just screwed up to begin with? Dunno

    I would have to respectfully disagree with many of the posts here. I don't necessarily think that a girl requires counciling just because she would like to have a baby. That is a natural desire. I wanted a child since I was about 15 or 16 (but waited until I was 25.) My mother also wanted kids since she was 16 (but waited until 31.) I would like to ask the same question as I'mThatGirl: Why do you want this? Why does your gf want this? I am curious to hear the reasons. You don't have to completely abandon the idea of having a child with her. But don't rush into it. If you are really serious, then finish school (you are almost done). Then move out and support yourself for at least a year. In the meantime, go out of your way to spend time with children. Babysit on weekends or befriend someone with little kids. See if it's really what you want. There is nothing wrong with wanting children, and it doesn't mean that you are empty or immature.

    You are a real cute girl and 150 lbs is normal, healthy and sexy for 5"7. If you are happy, then there is no reason for you to diet. As a teenager I used to weigh 155-165 lbs (and 5"6). I started losing weight and have now been about 115lbs for a few years. I can truly say that I am no happier at 115 than 165. It doesn't bring anything special to your life. As long as you have a balanced diet and stay active (even just a 1/5 hour walk each day) then you shouldn't worry about it. If anyone comments on your weight, just say "I look fabulous and I love the way I look."

    Smoking pot is not as bad as smoking cigarettes as far as your health is concerned. When I was trying to quit cigarettes, I would be ok until I would smoke a joint. Then, immediately after, I NEEDed a cig. I don't think it's okay to ask someone to change for you. But it's only the two of you who can decide, together, what is best for your relationship. Maybe you could ask him not to smoke or be high around you? I think it's wrong to try and control what he does when you are not around.
