  1. It seems me and you are in the exact same situation. You see, i too am a sophmore in college, at least i was until i recentally dropped out. I have many jobs i have been offered by family friends, including the most lucritive one in jacksonville, Florida. I too was not happy in college, my first year went by very fast and was, for the most part, easy. But ti all came down to that i wasn;t happy there, i would get 8-9 hours of sleep and would seem even more tired than ever. My suggestion would be to leave college for awhile, go and see what oppertunities you have, you can always go back to college. I believe that you can retain your credits for ten years before you lose them. Believe me, i was very scared when i made this choice, and though i thought my parents would be unhappy, they have come out to be very supportive. Good luck in whatever direction you choose
  2. basically, i was wondering who here has been in one of the topic listed serveces? If how was it and did youlike it?
  3. Today's youth is expected, for the most part, to attend college. Either by his/her peers, or by one's desire to succede. It would seem, that for those are presentally in college or have attended college, that they made thier mind up by the first semester on weather or not they wish to continue a path of education, or to dissreguard college and move on with life. But, my situation decends far from neither of these two options. I'm and now attending my second semester of my second year, but not all goes well. My grades have been average, a few "C's" and "b's" and a "A's" now and than. I get along with many of the other students at the college and most of the teachers like me. Yet, with all this, i feel like i am missing something. I am beginning to think that i don;t not belong in college, i feel a strange need to help other people, to give something back to those i have taken from in the past. This all could be eaisly achieved, i could easily drop college and become someone helpful to the world, or more realistically, the city. But, with all these people i may be helping in the future, i have to concentrate on the present. My parents, they have worked so hard to give me everything i have ever wanted, and everythig i am i owe to them. They believe that to be successful in life one must attend college(a very different view from my idea of successful), and graduate. Before i move on with my life i have to make this decision. Do i drop college to persue a life and carrer in which i would be happy in, or do i stay in college, spending thousands of my parents dollars to get a degree in a field i may be unhappy in? Ps: I love working labor jobs and being outside, so thus helping people withj getting a college degree and using it may leave me in a office all day, leading to unhappyness.
  4. yeah, 40-->never married(somethings wrong)-->booty call. See how he acts when you don't have sex with him, for at least a month, then perhaps you'll have your answer.
  5. do what ever you have to do, it may seem weird but it will benifit both of you in the wrong run. lol turkey baster....lol.
  6. lol, i bet his first day was different than normal. You should be fine, yeah if hes a shy guy than he might need a shove out the door, i think you approching him was a good move. Slightly back of but talk or smile at him when possible, not to much smileing though. I guess you should play the cards he deals you.
  7. why do people throw away so much with one stupid night of sex? Doesn't seem logical, well you make the mistake you pay for it. I hope you can patch thing up.
  8. yeah, i am a sophmore in college to, i feel this same way. Mostly because i have been going to school my entire life. Have you declared a major yet? I found that lately i have been getting to know my teachers in my major more. My classes have become more meaningful, try it, that worked for me.
  9. my advice, do get caught in soulmates. It might leave you searching for your entire life, if having and actually finding a true soulmate is possible than it is very rare.
  10. yeah this is no biggie. if i remember right from my psychology class this is called stimulis genralization. If your child saw something that the real dad has (facial marks, clothing, ect.) than the child will do this.
  11. i love it when girls have that little lower back muscle along the lower spine. WOOOO
  12. im about 50-50 on this. Part of me cant wait till i get older, perhaps more people will respect what i have to say, also i will feel like i have some expierance in the world. But, the other half wishes that ill stay young, i love so many things i have now, so much so that i don't want to ever let go.But, i try not to think about time to much, life is to stressed to worry about something so natural.
  13. Well it all started when i went to college last year, before that i was a outgoing person. During highschool i knew almost everybody, i did the whole sports thing through my senior year. There wasn't anyone that i couldn't go up and talk to and start a solid conversation. But now, in my sophmore year in college i seems to blow people off that try and approch me. For example, at the beginning of the semester (in a large lecture class) a girl sat down next to me, she sparked up a conservation, i followed with introducing myself, ect. Even though i felt comfortable around her, within the third class i stopped talking to her. This has happened with more than one person. Girls will give all the signs but i pertend that im not insterted, not in even being friends. Guys have asked me to parties, but i continue to be a no-show. I don't know what im doing, but it feels wrong. I'd like to think that this doesn't make me a bad person, but i know that i'm possibably hurting people.
  14. well this is a very tough issue to handle. Maybe you should persue her and talk to her about it. Your friend seems committed to her, but she may not be as committed to him, thereforeeee if you talk to her about things, possibly you can persuade her to drop him. Its basically you call on this, things can get out of hand if you make a wrong move. If you friend knows she is in a committed relationship, why does he insist on ruining a relationship, ith sounds like hes doesn't know what he wants.
  15. maybe you should try and have another baby, these things happen, but its what you do after is what makes you strong.
  16. do what you want to do, not what your mother wants you to do.

    Luck

its not luck, everything is based on the decisions you make leading up to that point. To me, luck really doesn't exists, its just a made up word that someone used to seem humble about achivements. Everything you do happens because you have chosen it to happen. In your example you could have just as easily kept on walking, but subconsciously your legs need a rest and you thought sitting on a bench was the best way to releve your legs. Advice from me, don't get caught up in luck, you make things happen in your life, not this so called "luck"
  18. this whole situation is mess up. truefully i don't have any advice, its just good that your venting all of this. I hate college to, its alot of studing when you get into harder classes.
  19. well being in college myself i can understand what your saying. You see, for me in college im no looking for a long term relationship, or rather someone i can see myself having children with, thats why most men go for the, lets call them,"more outgoing girls". But when i get into my later years of college ill beging to look for someone who doesn't always wear makeup, or dress up for a hour-two hour class. At least thats my mind set, its kind of shallow, but its what i choose to think. Of course, every guy is different. I'm not saying i use the girls, if i find a girl i like , i will try to set up a good foundation with them.
  20. no,no,no, I'm going to be a teacher, do do anything stupid like telling him you like him. Just by telling him that you could put his whole job in a bend, and not just his job, but his life. Get over it, hes 23, maybe when you turn 18 you can have thoughts about him, but not now. Silly little crush.
  21. looks like you have to open youself up to the fact that you may love her. It happens to the best of us, go with it. good luck
  22. Here is my situation, i am now a sophmore in college studing school administration. At first i felt this was the right path to walk down. My parents always told me that "you will never succede in life if you don't go to college". In part this may be true, but a small part of me feels that i don't belong in college. Im doing all my work and getting to know my teachers very well. Also i am very happy, but there always seems to be a gap in my life, like somethings missing that should have always been there. I'm very active, i go the the gym almost every day, and on the weekends i go out with friends. this path feels so right but at the smae time so wrong. I guess a side question is how did some of "you" feel when you found the right path, if indeed the right path was found?
  23. well, you should go to college, you have to think that the future is only tomarrows present. I went through a similar stiuation before. Im now a sophmore in college, but i had to decide two years ago if it was what i wanted. Most of the people i went to highschool with always keep in touch, our summers are a blast. I was scared at first, but as the first semester went on i met so many more people and have found some that i enjoy having in my life. Don't live in the moment, sure these people who do this have more fun while their young, but as they age they may feel like they have throwen a life away. But, you should make your own decisions, i hope you will be happy with either choice.
  24. you should tease he a little, keep going but go at a slower pace when she does that thing. She apperantly likes it, and it doesn't sound like your doing anything wrong, just keep dooing what your doing and you will be fine.
