My wife went through exactly everything you've just described. She was diagnosed with depression, was on medication for 2 years or so, and then tried to wean herself off of it since she was feeling fine. She felt worse and worse until she pretty much had to go back on it. She is using Effexor, which I'm pretty sure is just like Paxil. I would not lose any sleep over needing to take medication to feel right......millions of people throughout the world do it every day. Basically depression is just a chemical imbalance, usually involving your serotin levels, which can prevent the proper communication between nerve cells. It's not like it's a mental illness or anything. (Not that there's anything wrong with that!!) The biggest thing I would tell you is this. Think of it no differently than a diabetic needing to take insulin to regulate their body's blood sugar level. You certainly wouldn't feel guilty as a diabetic for "needing" to take some drug everyday to keep yourself alive, happy, and healthy. You would just take it and be happy that something existed to help improve the quality of your life. I've never suffered from depression, but I think it is much better to take a tiny pill every day and be happy, than to be "drug-free" and miserable or suicidal. Release yourself from your guilt, and start enjoying your life!! Depression is hereditary, so there's a good chance that the long line of 'warriors' you come from, had it too, and were probably just undiagnosed. Don't worry about it!! Enjoy!

Are you crazy?? Why would you want to do that?? Of course when you j/o you can usually get the job done in 4 minutes or less, that's the way it is. But that's not a trait anyone wants to carry over into their sex life. Consider yourself lucky for your "staying power"!!!

Get a grip people!! Do you really think that after 10 years of a loveless marriage, going on vacation together will make you fall in love. If you weren't in love when you got married 10 years ago, it's certainly not going to happen now! If you think you're doing your kids a favor by staying in a loveless marriage, think again. Kids are very perceptive and they'll probably be more damaged growing up with two parents who have no relationship, than they will as the kids of divorced parents.

Of course people who cheat say they're sorry and that they'll never do it again. That's what makes it easier for them to do it the next time. Saying "sorry" doesn't cut it.

Let it go and stop wasting your time!! You can't force someone to like/love you no matter what you wish would happen. Quit wasting time with some chick who obviously has other ideas, and wait till you find someone worthy of you. Any guy deserves better than the way she treated you. Move on.

No offense, but what are you both doing living with your parents if you're both in your 'mid 20's?? You state that he has a job, so what is the reasoning behind living with the parents. That is a recipe for disaster and should be a last resort unless you're unemployed or George Costanza!

Don't walk........run from this relationship as fast as you can. There is not a heterosexual man on the face of this earth that would only want to have sex once in a year and a half, with someone he professes to love. I would bet all the money I have, that this guy is gay and living in denial. My wife's first boyfriend in high school was gay, and he didn't tell her until they'd been "dating" for a few months, and she had been wondering why he wasn't interested in sex, making out, etc. Don't kid yourself. Sex is not the MOST important part of a relationship, but it is still very important!! If you're not having sex now before you're even married, it will only get worse once you are married. Get out FAST!!

I think it boils down to the fact that if a woman actually enjoys sex, she would want it all the time. I have to disagree with the other poster. I don't know a single heterosexual guy that isn't thinking about sex 99% of the day. I think in every long term relationship, you don't end up having sex as much as you did in the 'early dating stages'. That's almost impossible to keep up. Maybe he's got some pyschological hang-ups to do with his performance or "equipment".
