  1. THE TRADES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your about my age, right? Our parents are a HUGE generation who didn't have a ton of kids themselves. Soon enough, they are all gunna retire, and the trades are paying goood money!! My brother doesn't really make stellar grades, but he is great in wood work and mettal work! Those trades people can make an arse full of money if they are good at what they do, and know a touch about business. Being smart is one when of making money, but not the only! Good luck Jimbo.
  2. You guys are right, Sunday night blues! It's just hard when the person who's job it is to help to achieve your goals, is the one to shoot you down! Good job arrowbee! I'm a cook at a great Bistro, it's stressful, for sure, but pretty fun, and the pay is good too! The head chef is award winning, if you have any serious questions, let me know and i'll ask for you!!! Thanks all Jimbo.
  3. A bit ago, I went to see my school counsilor to just talk, and make sure I was in all the right classes for the faculty of science, and mainly Medical School at University. I'd never talked w/ her 1 on 1, because she is a new cousillor, you get a different for grade 11-12, than 8-10. I've always got great marks in science in school, A's, a few B's. So, she looked at just 1 term of Chemestry and Math (1/4 of the school year) and told me my marks wern't good enough. She said she couldn't see me in sciences, or as a doctor..... I responded that it was only 1 term, and I was just having troubles understanding a few consepts, and the teacher, and I'd always got great marks in science every time before that one little term! "It get's hard for real from here" she responded. Basically, she shot down my dream I've had for so long. People seem to like her, I just can't help thinking what if she's right??? I've had a headache for like 5 days over this ordeal. My school counsilor doesn't think I have what it takes, and apparently, she is supposed to be very good... This is the first time in my life anyone has told me my marks weren't good enough. It's the first time someone has told me my goals weren't reachable. I've always had some of the highest marks in the grade, but I just can't help but think... this is her job, to keep kids on track and keep their goals reasonable. Help them get as far in life as they can be, but she's telling me to rethink this...... Maybe the what i've said just makes her look like a bag, you might think I should just forget it, but it was a slap in the face!! I can't get it off my head she could be right! Maybe it is too hard, maybe for being a doctor, you need to be able to ace grade 8-10..... I'm so rattled, I don't even actually know what I'm asking for from you guys....could you all maybe just throw me your advise, and your thoughts and imput???? Anything possitive or negative is good, i don't think it could be that negative, I feel like I've been shot in the back.
  4. Good for you!!! It's good to know you've made the right choice and been pro-active against this jerk. Yet, without trying to scare you at all, a restraining order isn't perfect, so don't go pissing him off or anything, know what I mean? Have a good one, Jimbo
  5. Great to hear, I'm not in great shape right now myself (nothing hockey can't fix haha), but in some cultures being fat is seeexyyy!!! Just remember though, whatever your eating right now that makes you slightly chuby, could lead to more serious weight problems when your older and your matabolism slows down! Good for you buddy!!!!!!! Jimb0000000oooooooooo
  6. Go for the morning after!!!!! Why bother risking it by taking a bunch of pills??? It just sounds like a dumb idea!
  7. I totally agree DN is write, you should talk to her, but make sure you don't seem jealous, or overprotective, or paranoid, or anything that could freak her out, or make her mad. Good luck Jimbo
  8. I always just dress the same as all my buddies dress. Blue jeans, sweater or shirt or t-shirt or jacket, maybe a hat, skate shoes. We all basically dress in whatever is in style. Some people may disagree, but I don't choose to express myself with clothing. In my opinion, it's not a strong way of expressing yourself, no matter how outragous you dress. I express myself with my music, and my words, and my personality. Good topic!

    Question

I'd stay away from physical contact for a bit, other than like high five or w/e. I once saw a friend of masage a girl jokingly, we've known for like 3 years, and watched her cringe. It'd be waaay to soon, you never know how she'd react. not yet my friend, but keep working and it'll be soon enough!
  10. You don't fake confidence at an interveiw, you temporarily gain some. Be extra possitive, and just go in there and sell yourself, and what you've got to offer. Tip: Make sure your resume is not only very up to date, but make sure it doesn't have holes in the time (ie. between jobs) Make sure it looks nice, and eye catchy (but proffesional of course!) The average time an employer looks at a resume is like 10 seconds-ish, so if it looks crappy, good luck, you'll need it. Be confident in yourself. Say it over and over, you know your the best for the job. I wish I could give you better advise, but you've gotta just sell yourself, but still be yourself. Personality is important, but I'm sure you've got a great personality.
  11. That looks great What style of music do you think you'd put it in? Who'd you like to hear sing it? Rubin? Josh Grobin? Michale Jackson...wait noooooo
  12. Yup, liquid nitrogen. Not the most pleasant thing, but no biggy. After trying for weeks to get rid of a stupid wart with the badaids, and stuff, I saw a doctor and it was gone in a few treatments!
  13. Well, as much as we'd all love to help, I don't think you should take your diagnosis about gross crap in your eyes from a website of any kind lol!! I don't mean to put the other posters down, but when your talking eyes, you really should see a doctor. There are too many gross viruses and stuff going around to geuss, and hope nothing bad happens. Go see a doctor in the morning. Night Jimbo
  14. congrats....see email isn't trustworthy!!! Good luck! Jimbo
  15. I don't want to say I know this for sure, but I'll tell my story of Chyropractors. My neighbor accross the street had a sore neck. She went the the chyropractor a few times. After a few times, she went one night and came home. That night she had a major stroke. It's been a few years and she hasn't recovered. I hear they do wonders on backs, but as far as I have heard, don't let them touch your neck! True story Jimbo, out
  16. I feel bad for you. Being worried is the worst emotion, it is terrible! When I thought I had testicular cancer (I didn't phew!) I didn't sleep or eat, and I even took 2 days off school. So I know how you feel, so much resting on one test! Over those few days I decided if the worst came to worst, I'd take it the best I could. I said to myself, I'll do everything in my power, I'll try everthing, and damned if I'm going without a good fight! Whatever those results prove to be. I wish I had more words of comfort, but just know that your in my prayers. I hope all goes well!! PM me anytime! Jimbo
  17. I really can't give advise because I've never even attempted to do what your going to attemt. Seems like you want an entire personallity overhaul, and I don't know your situation, maybe it's a good thing. But all I can say is this. Who you are is embeded down deep, and changing your personallity won't come easy! For whatever reason you've decided you don't like who you are, I hope you find youself, and become content sometime soon PS. Why are you leaving enotalone???

    Help

No. I've never heard that before, but i'd just like to know, out of curiosity; why you are asking???
  19. Music is a HUGE part of my life. I've been studying the piano since i was little, and in grade 6, moved from classic to jazz piano studies. I just couldn't take the drone of playing the music EXACTALLY how it was written. Jazz is so much better! I have also studied the saxaphone (alto, bari, tenor, saprano...) with some of the best jazz musicians around. Julia Nolan, Camble Rigby, Fred Stride...(if you havn't heard of Julia Nolan, please look her up!!!) My whole family is crazy into music. One of my uncles is the director of a musical Fine Arts school, where he teachers jazz and has amazing bands and orchestras, as well as being a pro, involved in several of his own bands. His 2 kids, my cousins, are both studying music at University. My aunt is an absolutly AMAZING pianist, and my grandmother can play any song by ear. My brother and mother, as well as anouther uncle (all on my moms side) are also involved in music. Right now, I'm not a proffesional, but like all jazz musicians, you gotta know all the jazz standards, so once I learn those, I'll start doing giggs, the lady i'm studying with has offered to help me get giggs on cruise ships pretty soon, so that'll be fun, and pay well! I love jazz, it can give you any mood, you play if with your soul. Music is a part of my life that I'll always have, and hold dear to me. Jimbo.
  20. At your age, that's the easiest thing to do, and it works when your older too. Give it a shot
  21. haha, i like that That's a good one. You sound miserable!!! Hope your feeling better in the morning
  22. I wouldn't wait. If for some reason she didn't get the email, or lost it or w/e, she might be waiting! Just call her in tomorrow and say 'hey'. Don't wait any longer, she might think you forgot about her or something.
  23. Maybe she only checks her email 3-4 times. Maybe her junkmail scanner thought it was junk. Maybe she accidentally deleted it. Maybe she hasn't had the time to read it/reply There are too many possibilities to sit around and think about. Just call her!
  24. This is a fun site to look at. It is a list of all documented phobias. Some people must have some real problems!!! I don't have any phobias really, accept maybe I am scared of water snakes to that points.....buuurr they give me chills just thinking about them, ewww leeches, soooooo nasty!
  25. There is a good chance it's ED It's not serious, it troubles many men, but there is medication. Send his butt to a doctor and get him fixed up. If it isn't that, which it is, he'll fess up. Good Luck
