    She doesn't walk around in her underwear, she just wears shorts and a tank-top. I don't get uncomfortable when ppl walk around in their underwear. Heck I've done it before. Its just that she makes a big deal about being "freaking hot in the morning" when she showers and blows her hair dry. She should know that makes her hot. And she has to use hot, hot water to take a shower when she should use less hot water. And she's very needy about it as well. An example, she yelled at me when I turned the air conditioner off to get the apartment a little warmer. Then she tells her mom and her mom told her to tell us that if we make the room hotter than my roomie can stand it the mom will come to the apt herself to take care of the situation. Ahhhh. And she has to make a reference everyday about it being too hot and that we need to have the temperature down.

    I like it. I like the progression of thought in it. It reminds of a poem I read for class: Its called "We Real Cool" by Gwendolyn Brooks.

    I would encourage you to look to the future. The future will come and whatever choices you making now can have an effect on your future. If people know your views you might have a hard time getting hired anywhere because bosses would consider you a liability in that they might think you will hurt someone of a different race and cause a lot of problems. So please think on that.

    They do not allow electric blankets or electric matress pads cuz they are a fire hazard. Annie, I know it is easier for me to put on more clothes but I think she needs to consider the other people in the apartment. Three of us are cold and the other three are hot. I would just like to be able to wear a short sleeved t-shirt without being so cold. And when I am cold I'm more suseptible to getting sick and with my schedule I can't get sick.

    I live in an apartment dorm and there are two to each room and the roomie that is in my room gets hot at night a lot so a space heater is out of the question and they are against university policy. So I'm kind of out of options to stay warm. I know I'm on the smaller end of the scale and she is medium to big boned. I have small arms and hands and feet so thats where I get cold really easily.

    I'm the cold roomie and my other roomie is the hot roomie, cold and hot as in body temperature. My roomie likes the temperature to be 66 degrees and she still sweats at that temp a little. I need it to be like 78 and I'm still a little cold. We compromised and have it at 70 degrees. And at that I'm still cold even when I have a long sleeve t-shirt, a sweater and a blanket on and I have socks and slippers on my feet and jeans. She is still sweating even in shorts and a tank top on. I was wondering should we both see a doctor about this. TIA.

    I would go see an allergist who can do tests on you to see what is wrong with you. A lot of people I know have done this and when they find out whats wrong and change their diet they feel better.

    I'm just wondering what you would do if you had to work with a bunch of people that were a different color than you. This confuses me cuz I've grown up in an area where there were a lot of white people and a few black people. The black ppl I have known were not different, not that I notice. But then I never pay attention to race cuz I take people one at a time. Which is really all you can do.

    Well I write things on stuff that just happens to be there at the time and throw it away. I've times when I needed friends to be there for me and they weren't. This is a fact of life. Sorry if I sound harsh, but I have observed this and experienced it. I hope things work out for the both of you.

    No, it's not true that if you are shy at the beginning of your life you will be shy the rest of your life. The person just needs confidence. My dad was shy for a long time after he spoke a few times(before I was born) he kept on talking and will not stop. I was just like dad shy, now I am talking more.

    As DN said the school can force you to wear a bra if it is in the dress code. One of my friends had that problem and the guys were not paying attention in class. So they had a female teacher talk to her. My school was old fashioned and so whenever and immodesty issue came up guy-to-guy talks and girl-to-girl talks.

    I don't know why other teachers haven't reported the abuse to the police. In my high school teachers did report abuse.

    In the state I come from teachers have to report signs of abuse, no matter what.

    Imminent Danger is where you could be hospitalized or killed. At least thats what I have read.

    Teachers get into the field for one thing to help educate the young minds of the world. Why?, because they care about students. To do that they need to be sure the student is treated well and is ready to learn. Your teacher is required to look out for signs of abuse. You have bruises and a black eye, those are signs of abuse. He sounds concerned for you. Usually when a teacher sees a student out late like you were they tend to get concerned. Add with signs of abuse=major concern. You probably know all this. I would take him on his word. Find some comfort that there is an adult who wants whats best for you. He is standing at an open door for you. I'll pray for your situation. Thats what I can do. Hope it gets better.

    No you aren't fat. If you are so worried about stretch marks you could always put Vitamin E oil on them to help them fade.

    I was wondering what it meant when a married man flirts with a girl and hits one her. Just so you know this has happened to me. I was wondering if there are ways to keep this from happening. The guy has a child. I am just really uncomfortable when he does this. I don't want to be the reason a marriage breaks up. He sits behind me in class, he does not touch me or anything. I really don't want to make a big deal about this. I have never had this situation, HELP!!

    That concerns me that you are 16 and he is 28 and he is telling you he loves you. I know the age of consent is 18 here. I'm glad that you are wanting to explore things on your own. Please don't take anything that could harm you.

    I have seen situations like this occur. I'm going to be honest, there really isn't anything you can do. I've tried to get my friends from getting back with their loser boyfriends but to know avail. I know it's hard to just sit back and watch, but there really isn't anything you can do.

    Ok I come from a place where we still have well water. I move to the city and the water here doesn't have the minerals in it and the chlorine is murder on my hair. It was smoothe, straight, and strong now it has texture, its still straight and breaks easily. My hair was fine and now it's getting course. I hate it. I can't do anything with it. I eat my fruits and my vegetables so I know it is the water. I was wondering if there were any hair product anyone could recommend to help this problem. I really want my old hair back.

    I have poor memory when it comes to school stuff. To help with this I write things down, and if I'm alone I will say aloud things I am writing. In this way you combining your visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning to help improve your memory.

    If she is a teenager like not an adult teenager but one who is under 18 you should tell her parents cuz they need to know about this situation. And I agree the others she needs to a doctor.

    One of my friends went through this and she had to change her cell number. She and her father explained the situation to the company and they let her switch numbers but it did cost a fee. A fee is small amount compared to being stalked and your sanity.
