  1. I am waiting on Principal Suspect to be delivered to my branch library. I hope they hurry!
  2. Echoes in the Darkness by Joseph Wambaugh Excellent Book!
  3. I think it's beautiful but will admit I have no clue what it means. Reminds me a little of Bob Dylan lyrics and I wish he could sing it for us.
  4. She's 23 now. How did all this turn out? Oh, well, I guess we'll never know...it's been a year since she visited here.
  5. My only requirement in a man is that he have a very low IQ.
  6. I'd like to recommend a program for all you ghost fans. It's called A Haunting on Discovery Channel. I had never heard of it, but I bought a DVD set with seasons one and two recently at Best Buy. Just happened to have a coupon for a $20 discount so I only paid $5 for this. I didn't really expect much, but this is some of the best stuff I've ever watched in my life, and I see at least one per night, sometimes two. My favorite story so far is Summerwind, which is located on the shores of West Bay Lake in Wisconsin. If this won't scare you, nothing will.
  7. I have had one strange encounter. When I was maybe 13 or so, my cousin and I were outside late at night on her front porch. There was nothing out there at all, no cars going by, no people outside, nothing. We were talking a lot of nonsense, joking about things that weren't very nice. And we BOTH heard someone right in front of us say, "shhhhhhhhhh". And we looked at each other, both in complete horror, and ran inside tripping over ourselves. (Think George Castanza when he thought the building was on fire.) There was a very old graveyard directly behind her house.
  8. I wish I had that way with words, somebloke. Must come in handy when you are having the hard times. I wish I could write a poem about the way I feel right now. I wish there was some way you could feel what I feel and write one for me. LOL
  9. Copromorphic isn't even found in a dictionary.
  10. You are right about that, Cimmie. Just the rhythm is what I'm talking about. Like a rap song.
  11. Sounds like a Snoop Dog song, somebloke. I like it, but I felt a wave of depression while reading it. How depressed were you when you wrote this? I'm trying to understand where that came from. Doesn't sound the way you usually do. Are you having a bad day? If you are, I'm sorry. Or it could be because I'm depressed a little today? I don't know.
  12. Yep, it's really good stuff...better than a lot that's been published. That's for sure. I was afraid you might take offense that I twisted it into sick humor. Glad you didn't. LOL
  13. I love your song, somebloke. I hate to see a bird in a cage, always have. I thought of my own ending to the song. Now the birds are finally free. And a cat climbs up the tree. heehee!
  14. The only time I've ever had a UTI, I had been wearing thongs. I threw them all away.
  15. I'd kick someone if they put porn on my computer. I hate it, and I don't want it anywhere near me. I know the women who do that are many times victiims, and I'm sorry but I'd rather be alone than with someone who indulges in it. And if it were my computer it would really be an insult!
  16. I think more kids do things like this now than they did when you were young because the media makes it look tame. I wouldn't label him gay yet. And being from a Christian family has never stopped a person from being gay. If it's meant to be it will be.
  17. sarey, Why are you not talking to someone who loves you about this? I know there are lots of people here who care, but the only people who can really get something done for you are your parents. Any mother or father would go to the ends of the earth to prevent the suicide of a child. No matter how embarrassing you think it will be, they will stick by you. I have been through something similar with my son, and he had been afraid of telling us for a very long time. He thought we would disown him, never talk to him again. But guess what? Instead we got him to the best doctors around and he has moved back home with us and is doing just lovely now. Please ask for help, sarey.
  18. If you feel guilty or dirty doing something, then it's wrong. Doesn't much matter what we think, does it?
  19. I agree with this. It is truly what is on the inside that counts. My cousin and I write to each other in e-mail weekly. She is about 60 and has a sister about 47 who has been divorced for many years. So I asked this lady if her sister ever dates anymore, and she said not in a long time because she is "particular", that she doesn't like fat or bald men, and this girl has always been overweight, LOL. Obviously she's taking after her dad. He is 90 and since he lost his wife he just goes after women half his age, getting shot down, was even reported to a leader of a club he belongs to for harassment. He says all the women his age are ugly or fat. I am not saying this is your problem, but I know people who are like this. They sit around whining, but they are their own problem.
