Hi all... I feel like I have been living a double life for so long, but now it is getting more complicated as I move further into the open with it. oh, that subject is too hard to even start with so lets move to my present problem. I chat online quite a lot, have friends online I have never met. Some are from this website, some friends of friends, some random people I forgot how I met(two I believe). One of these groups is a bunch of friends in England. I met "dan" on vacation while I was going through what I like to call my hormone burst. You know, hit puberty, and boom! suddenly guys are a lot more interesting and to complicate things, I suddenly became very interesting to guys. Anyway I never did anything with dan, but he was with me when I kissed another guy(that kiss was a point of many lessons, much lost trust, and many more complications in my already confusing early teenage life). dan, who is probably not the best company but is a really good friend, introduced me to his close friends in england, "tom", "rich", and "harry"(hehe, I couldn't resist). Tom and I clicked when we met. Ok, so at first he did seem a little shallow, but as we talked I saw beneath that. He is really confident, my big turn on, and you know it is there if you can feel it in IM! But we just flirty with each other. Unfortunately, rich also thought(or rather, still thinks) I was an angel. It wasn't the same as with tom, but we were still flirty, compliments and such. well, you never can know for sure unless you tell her. But you probably have a smaller chance of success if you just pull her to the side and say "I like your bro". Instead, talking with her sometime about crushes. You can talk about who is cute, who you used to like, couples at your school, and once she is really into it then you can go either of two ways. 1) fast- just whip it out quickly. say "oh ya, I have one more crush: your brother." She may just laugh it off and take it as a joke or take it seriously. It is all a chance. 2) slow- "And there is this guy that I really like. I really want to ask him out, but I don't know if I can." If you don't have anything in common, then I would suggest staying friends for a while. As for the talking, what do you know about him? What do you want to know? You can't just dive into deep conversations very easily. Try to bring up things that make you laugh to ease any tension. How bout movies, actors, that creepy guy that hangs around the Quick and Easy? hey Sniper! There are several options. You could do the up front thing and tell her what you feel. And, to avoid her mood, try to tend towards non accusing phrases. Use "I" instead of "you". like: "Since I have come back, _I_ feel that _I_ haven't been getting a lot of quality time with you. What do you think?" Or you could take the spontaneous route to more spark. You can do anything fron taking her for a walk in the country side to paying for daycare for the boys and spending the day doing something she is interested in. Something out of the house. Show that you know her interests. Maybe secretly buy tickets to a sports game or go to the beach or a play or whatever. Just ask her to free up a day or two for some "us" time and surprise her. Or that you want to get back together?Remember, you initiated NC to get over the relationship. And, if she insisted that she meet in person, she might be interested in getting together or finally putting a name on your status(ex b/f, never want to talk, close friend, whatever). I have done some research on the subject. When you cut yourself, it triggers release of endorphins. This chemical, endorphin, relaxes the person and reduces pain. Unfortunately, it is also addictive. Once you start cutting it is very hard to stop because your body has become used to having this level of edorphin in the system so when it doesn't, you feel you must cut to get a "high" of sorts. There are other ways of releasing this chemical. Eating chocolate, for example. Exersize and sex are also proven to release endorphins. There are my two cents! Swiss Chic

I am not saying this is your situation at all, but this is an experience. One of my friend's grandmothers who was 67 was dating a 27 year old. The got married. It seemed too good to be true. It wasn't. After the married, he started stealing her money, they got divorced, and she was left bankrupt. Now, like I said, this may not apply to your relationship. Good Luck

Maybe start by saying "Hey, you have caught my eye every time I come here and I was wondering if you would be interested in ______" a drink, a dance, a date, whatever level you are on. I know what lonliness can feel like. In fact, I know how it feels now. But the best advice I have heard on the subject is to have confidence. Believe you don't NEED your boyfriend, you WANT your boyfriend. If you want tips on places to meet people, there are hundreds of posts on it that are acessible. After that, don't be dependent on your boyfriend. Don't act desperate for them. Respect the fact that they are dating you for you and they like you. In your alone time, find other things to focus on. Like I have been going through a lonliness spell, but now I am devoting a lot of my time to soccer for am up coming tryout. I have more independence. But everytime I look up and scan the cay for them, the other, the creative side of my brain tells me to stand up and walk to the beach, where they probably are. Wait, now I am walking. Why?! I should stop. No, I must stop. I can stop. A little farther. But if I see the beach, I will go, I know it. Would they be on the cay? It's too cold to swim. I am sitting. I am not on the beach. There is a street ahead of me. If they come down the cay, I can go. Is that him? Standing, with younger age clothing but longer hair? It's not him. I walk a little more. Why?
