What exactly is a promise ring? pfft yeah I know it's a ring but any specific type? look? costs?

My Uncle got it, he used to wear glasses before he got it. I think lasik surgery is like.. trimming off the edge slide off your eye? something like that - I heard or something but sometimes it can go wrong - like his friend also got it, but he can't see well at night/dark times.

Just walk together somewhere or WHENEVER You two are walking together and just touch her hand a little, like a flick - that'll give her a hint you'll want to hold hands. then just after a few seconds, get a hold of her palm and move into holding her hand fully.

Firstly, HOW THE HELL DOES THIS THING WORK? I've been doing it for about maybe more than a year and acne always comes back. I thought to myself that I might be doing it wrong or I'm one of those people that just doesn't work for. Now I've changed some of my ways since last year and I've been more dedicated this year. Usually what I do, is: (I've recently started doing this routine) Morning, wake up - shower; apply clearasil before leaving to goto school. After school, get home(3:30~4:00ish) - wash face, wait 5 minutes; apply clearasil. Night (7~8ish) shower, after shower apply clearasil. Is this how I should do it? am I doing something wrong?

Just be direct, go up to her, hang around her a little and JUST ASK. "Hey you wanna go out somewhere this weekend?" or whenever and whatever you might have planned for the both of you if she were to say yes.

This is exactly how my current g/f asked me out in the first place - she told me after she asked me out that she had wanted to ask me for quite some time. Now on the other hand - I didn't exect ANYTHING like this to come up by her; I didn't really know her, fairly attractive - and the year before, it was like she didn't really like me or something; or.. thats the way she acted towards me. Anyways, I said yes or whatever and we went out - our relationship is still going pretty strong (4 months @ end of January)

Sonic, that is some pretty useful advice... to someone who ISN"T going to get kicked out of the house unless giving into demands (No offense man, we cool?) Anyways, theres not many options here - her parents are THREATENING their own daughter that they will kick them out of the house. She can either leave the house - try to get a successful life (very hard and mostly never works, but if it works...) OR she can maybe somehow TOTAL NC the other guy for a while until things die down and parents don't care about the other guy anymore. I really don't know what to say man, that sucks - sorry I couldn't give you more hopeful tips

Well you say she wouldn't date best friends but it seems like she is hinting you that you are an exception, different from "being" her "brother" But I think once you are bf/gf, things will be a little awkward but until then; I can't tell you much. Alright, I think my friend is trying to hit on my girl (not like total, but starting off light, I don't know how to explain it), but I think I'm sure and I trust her that she won't go off with him and ditch me behind. So I've decided to just leave the situation alone for now and trust her and have faith in her - I know at times a guy is supposed to defend his girl but right now I think I'm doing the right thing...? AM I DOING THE RIGHT THING?

Alright so heres the thing - My girlfriend of around 4 1/2 months now, shes been acting quite strange recently... whenever I see her - (to me) it's like shes trying to avoid me or something... she goes up with her girl-friends everytime I see her. Say for example, A group of us [2male(me+myfriend) and 3 girls (her+her2friends)] are walking down the halls, she starts to go forward more with her friends and most of the time... and today, when I said "Hi" to her while passing her in the halls during switching of classes, she just looked and passed me... and my really good friend (not the one in the previous scenario) asked me if somethin was going on, and I responded with doubt "I don't know... it's like shes ignoring me or something..." She hangs around my friend alot more than me. I've been meaning to speak to her seriously on our relationship but we are always around friends and all so I couldn't get it off my chest... It's like shes serious around me and just fun around my/her friends... She didn't used to be like this around a week ago... EDIT: Ok so I've talked to her on MSN (yes I know it'd be better if I told her BEFORE in person or phone but...) heres how it went: Me do you hate me or something..? o_O Her WHY?! ...O_o Me I don't know - just seems your acting strange recently, I say hi to you in the halls and you just look and just pass me Her oooooo well usually when you say hi it's as you are passing and by the time i realise that someone is talking to me you are passed and then i say hi and you can't hear me...lol... i'm not doin it on perpose... ooooooooooo sorry brb Me kk.. Her haha i am trying to brown some beefs... but that means that i have to stand there for the whole time...lol i'll be back in like 5 mins... LOVE U DON"T FORGET *Some minutes later* Her: there... hey Me Hey.. so it's like that - I probably should have said this over phone or before but you know, there are always too many people around and such. ya know - i can't pretend that i don't care;; *Some more minutes later, while I was downstairs eating* Her: hahaha when you get back read my Live Journal...(you need some time reading it)... HAVE FUN N KEEP SMILING! And so I read it, but the only sentences that involve me and her were: "hellsh yesh AND NO (myname) I AM NOTTTTTTTTTT mad AT you... i am mad ABOUT you... there" and at the end she wrote "PPS- I LOVE YOU (myname) AND DON'T THINK OTHER WISE!!!!! I'm still not sure...

I feel like I think that my girl thinks that I don't care for her much - I'm a pretty confident guy and all but when it comes to personal relationships, I'm kinda nervous and a little shy. I really DO care for and love her but I don't think I can show it clearly and slowly. How can I be more open to this and not in a corny way?

Personally, I do hope that her life will smooth up/get better soon - at the time, I myself.. I'm fine - I don't mind about the uttering of wrong words because at most times, I don't mind about those things; I'm just asking if there is any way (if there is) to help her more emotionally and mentally (in a way)
