You need to confront her. You are exactly right about people when they break up they are usually apart to heal. Sounds like she is just being selfish, and you should tell her that. And she is doing that on purpose, which i think is pretty f%cked up. I think its a huge myth from going from gf/bf to best friends, its practically impossible because there will always be 1 of the 2 not happy with being just friends -

Well im a guy, and he sounds like a great guy, if you find a guy that is generally sweet like he is, you better try to get him. Because there are few of us. Maybe you should try some physical contact with him. Because girls dont know that guys really notice, if a girl brushes up against them while they walk by, or like if he cracks little jokes and while your laughing you grab on to his arm or shoulder saying "oh thats too funny", maybe dont say anything corny like that but u know what i mean. But if you are interested in him, you should really try to raise your "flirtacious" level. See how he responds to that, because there might be a chance that he is just a good friend, and says stuff like that because he is comfortable with you and wants to make you feel happy in any way. I know I am a good guy and do say those things with a couple of my good girl friends just to try to make them happy and feel good about themselves. well as you know, the same stuff happened and is happening with me. In my situation he just had trust issues, and he tryed to control her to much, and always called and checked where she was, and like brought up her past flings and say stuff like "why dont you just go freak them you slut". And he cheated on her multiple times, i guess he knows how easy he did it, she could to. But its a very hard situation, i know you so want to get it threw her head that her relationship with him is just going to lead to heartbreak. But if you do try to do that, she might push you away, and somehow it might make its way to her BF, that you said stuff, and he will not only be pissed but he will be telling her, "the only reason hes saying that is to break us up because he wants to be with you". And its very likely she will listen to what he has to say b4 she listens to you. yea bb13, so same its scary, yea yesterday we went out to eat and just had a blast, because i just blocked all of the negative stuff out, and we just couldnt stop laughing. And then late last night we both talked on AIM, like we used to, it just seemed like she was more willing to talk, and she was bringing up stuff to talk, and elaborating on stuff, i guess we are rebuilding that great friendship back, which yesterday was surely a great step in the right direction

bb13, yea im in the exact situation as you are in, you said in my other post. Just like my situation she already knows i like her and she said she felt the feelings also, and she has a BF, and she tells me stuff that im positive she doesnt tell him. But im not getting her anything, i would just text messege her and say something like "Happy V-Day baby" just something small. And when she asks you what you should do with her relationship, well, i always helped her out then after weeks of her pleeding for me to tell what i really feel, i told her that she deserves alot better and that she is getting treated like crap and stuff. BUT, love is like a drug and it is addicting, and when she heard me say that, she sorta pushed me away, and was afraid to talk about her relationship with me bc she said she was afraid of the truth, just like if somebody was on herion, they wont listen to anybody. Its best for them to figure it out on there own and grow as a person by it.
