I know...its easier to be friends with girls than guys. I don't have too many friends who are guys. I think that a lot of guys are just too irresponsible, and for me I want friends who are responsible. LIke most of my guy friends aren't in school, they aren't working, and they just sit at home and watch tv and drink slurpees.....i would prefer to have more guy friends....its better to be friends with someone of the same sex....i try to be the best friend i can, but often i feel that I am being just used.....

Looks really don't matter too much to me, but every one is different. For some people they do matter, while for others its not too important. Confidence is important, but being too confident can actually scare guys away. ITs true.

I have never once even thought about experimenting with someone of the same sex. I think that it just sick....i am not homophobic. BUt for me, being gay is NOT an option, not even once.

Hmmm....you seem stuck in a rather nasty situation...but remember that you can always escape and go off to another country and start a brand new life....and you could get married, start a new family.....i am myself stuck in a sticky and often unhappy family situation but I just think about the future and how i am going to move away and get married and have two children and adopt two children and how wonderful it will be......

I was being harassed and everything in my life was really just in a down ward spiral. 3. I failed. But later, my friends and God (you don't have to post this part) showed me that there is so much to live for. 4. It just isn't worth it. I want to create a suicide survey here for the purpose of raising awareness about the problem, and allowing honest but confidential discussion about the topic. There is how it will work. "I walk to work every morning and admit to not living in the best part of town." --hey i also live in Vancouver and I know the bad areas (New West, Hastings, Surrey)...why don't you move to RIchmond?...its much safer there (and people are more normal)...its where I live...... "I am always on guard and am always aware of the people around me as I walk. " --living in fear is very harmful....all you can do is do the best you can protect yourself, but not live in fear forever.....maybe ask a friend or co-worker to walk with you..i am sure that there are others who work on your route who feel the same way...maybe you could walk with them... ONe time i was on the beach on the west end and some drunk guys were following me and they were whistling and saying they liked the way my bum looked (i don't think they were gay...just drunk) I feel disgusted when this happens and half the time I will say something defensive back. ----what do you say to them? How do they react I certainly feel like I'm being harassed. ---if you are being harassed by the same person repeatedly and they won't stop even after you told them to, you can take legal action....

I think its a bad idea to hook up with someone you meet at work. Your boss might accuse you are flirting too much and not working enough (even if thats not true, that perception may come accross). Also, what if your romance doesn't work out...then you are stuck going to work and seeing someone who you don't like.....that would be awkward....also, if he is in a committed relationship you have no right to flirt with him...thats wrong!!!!

Recently I have become quite concerned about my weight. I am now at 198 pounds...is this too fat for a guy? What is the average male weight (i am 6ft)....but even though I am worried about my weight, i sort of like being slightly overweight because when I was in high school people teased me for being too skinny...so now I am slightly overweight? it makes me feel more secure...i don't know..but is 198 pounds too fat for a guy?

SOmetimes you just HAVE to forgive someone. If you are stuck working with, going to school with, or living with someone who has hurt you then its better to forgive than to be resentful everyday. Better to forgive and forget. There are lots of people who who have hurt me but who I can't avoid. So i think its better to just forgive and forget than be miserable everyday.

People have different motivations for finding a partner because they are raised differently and are in different cultures. In some cultures (ie. many North American cultures) sex is a (not the only) primary motive. In some cultures, economic gain or sustenance is more important. Even within cultures people have different motives. Some people just want a girlfriend or boyfriend because all thier friends have them, and they want to be like their friends. Other people are lonely. Some people want a relationship because their parents are abusive or detached, and they are looking for someone who will love them. There are as many motives for a relationshp as there are people.

Pregnancy tests are really wrong. Well, all you can do is congratulate yourself on becoming a father, and make the most of it. I once knew a girl who got pregnant when she was 18. It was difficult, but she and her boyfriend (now her husband) took responsiblility and turned a difficult situation into a positive one. There are A LOT of options out there...take some time to explore them all, and make the best choice for you, for your girl, and for your unborn child.

Sorry, I don't understand....do you have problems forgiving OTHERS or forgiving yourself?

Ceema-k, Your ladder theory is really interesting. IT could be true. But its important to remember that many Asian males do very very well in school and have high incomes, so for a white girl to marry them would be a step up. LIke, when I was in high school, some Asian guys i knew were taking 6 or 7 government exams (here you only have to take 4 to get into university)...LOL....Asian men tend to work very very hard....i don't know..its any interesting theory though.

There is a double standard: Many people appreciate white guys dating asian girls, but some people look down upon asian guys dating white girls. Why does this double standard exist?

Thanks. But to tell you the truth, I don't think I have ever had a regular "check up". I have only been to my doctor around 4 times in my entire life...LOL..i should get a check up......

Ya for me its not so much race that attracts me....i like non white girls (in general) because they are unique and their culture and values are more interesting.......if I found a white girll like that, I would surely date her (if we were right for each other)....I just like novelty.....thats why i like girls of a different race than my own.

Hey, atleast its good that you expressed how you feel. One time I was really mad at this girl who hated me for no reason, who I wrote a poem about beating her up. I am not proud of it, but I needed to find a way to express how I felt. I named the poem "Slap the B##(("...hehe....but after writing the poem I felt better. Its not good to have anger inside that you just keep bottled up...... Just think about the future and what sort of future life you will be leaving behind if you commit suicide.......i mean....future career, future friends, future wife.....just think about that.....

Hey most people have heard that "Leni" from Law & Order died recently of prostate cancer. Does anyone here know much about how to check for prostate cancer? At what age should you begin to check for it?

WASP means "white anglo-saxon protestant".....it refers to cacasion men who have traditional values in general, regardless of whether they are religious........ anyway for me its the opposite. I prefer non-white girls. I am not racist against my own race (LOL...i am caucasion)....i guess i just like to seek novelty and things that are different. Different cultures interest me, I suppose.

Hey I have reallly strong arms and I am much stronger than most other guys I know, but my muscles never show. This really bothers me....like other guys who are less strong than me have bulging muscles, while I have none!!!!!!!

At my job I feel really really unappreciated, and my boss is giving my only 4 hours every two weeks. Sometimes I feel like just writing a nasty letter to her and taking off during my next shift. That would not be nice (or moral) but it would be fun. Has anyone else here been in the same situation? How have you dealt with it? Have you ever sent a nasty resignation letter to your boss?
