What about if one day your partner says they want to stick a feather up your bum and a leather mask over your head. If you didn't want to do this does this make you a selfish lover? What about you are really happy with your sex life but just don't want the feather? As long as you are both loving and at least make love, does the other always need to do exactly what you want?

This is a tough one. My wife likes to receive but has never gone down on me and we have been married for 10 years! I have accepted that she probably never will and it isn't that important to me. I could just never do it to her I suppose but I actually enjoy giving it so what would that achieve? I think he wont do it to you as he would have by now, so you need either accept it or move on to another man.

Does this mean that a woman who masturbates when she has a partner is not satisfied with his performance? Hope this isn't true, had lots of partners over the years and seem lots of them masturbate. As far as I can tell, and I have asked her lots of times about this, she has orgasms with me. We have a good sex life and she enjoys it, she orgasms easily and I don't think she fakes it, she has always said to me what would be the point of faking it, she would just be cheating herself out of pleasure so why would she do it. I have know reason to believe she is lying to me but is painfully shy about the masturbation thing. I masturbate sometimes but doesn't mean I don't enjoy making love to my wife, you are making me feel paranoid now.

Think it depends a bit on how paranoid you are as well. Don't always listen to the voices in your head, listen to the voice of reason as well.

Hi Bethany, I have tried to get her to talk about the experience and to perhaps use it when we make love but she just isn't interested in doing this at all. If I found myself single again I would not go for someone who is just 21, far too young, give me a woman in her 30's who has sorted out her life and knows exactly what she wants, in bed and out.

For all the men reading this, cross your legs. My wife is having trouble with the pill and we have tried other things, we both don't like condoms finding they spoil the moment but are using them at the moment. We don't want any more children and I even if we ever to separated again I don't think I would want kids with anyone else at my age. So, has anyone had the snip and wants to share what it was like?

Oops. Not as bad as finding him in bed with her but I would say it puts you in the same place. Could be innocent just as you and the guy in bed was. On the other hand this could have been arranged a while back and he wanted the break to be with her without guilt, who knows. I think you need to assume that it is probably over for now, doesn't mean forever but for now I think you just need to accept it and go into NC. Sorry if this is not what you want to here.

Hi Brickchamp. My wife and I split for 3 months after being married for nine years. I have now been home for nearly 7 months and the relationship is better than ever.
