  1. These people are walking wounded and they are not always rational, or sensible , or responsible --- They are given the advice they need. If they don't use it that is then it becomes part their responsibility. Consider this. In anything else where denial, self-induced ignorance and the ability to make a choice comes along we say you got a responsibility to make a decision here. But now when it comes to people being abused? Nonsense. The fact that she has a child now makes her responsibility even more crucial
  2. Annie how much is a victim is someone who stays? That isn't a victim, that's a participant. She got her advice on here. Now she should know he is abusive.
  3. Ray you will do fine. Those are commendable scores. Besides that you can "learn" to get better scores. It isn't an IQ or talent test. If you want to chat about it e mail me at email removed and I can give you the run down. I have been studying it for quite sometime.
  4. CY NEVER EVER PAY AN AGENT AND NEVER TRUST ONE WHO ASKS FOR MONEY I cannot stress this strongly enough. Agents are supposed to be helping you sell your product cuz they believe it will make them money. Only pursue agents who are not asking for money cuz then they have an incentive to follow through. And trust me, an agent is like a lawyer. You want one for representation. Did you know Stephen King for screwed out of lots of money when he first started cuz he didn't have an agent. As he said, there are people in this world who will steal pennies off a dead man's eyes (on writing)
  5. I am taking the LSAT in october. Unless I become a successful novelist I want to do law for two reasons. 1. I love the law, legal system and the creativity of legislation and commenting over what we could do to improve our society's legal sytem. 2. I want to help people. I plan, if I get into law school and get through it, to pursue a career as both a public defender and prosecutor and perhaps eventually teach. They do not make much money however I want to do it cuz A) I would have more time to raise a family and write novels than I would if I were working at a firm. B) I want to be a great lawyer in a field where the people who are innocent but who cannot afford it need somebody great at what they are doing to get them justice. Basically I want to prosecute the rich untouchables (as well as your rapist serial killers etc) and defend innocent people who don't have a dime. I always felt like I had a natural apptitude for enjoying being hated so I figured why not have fun and make a career out of it while doing it for the good of humanity blah blah blah. Being a billionaire is overrated anyway.
  6. You ever considered first submitting your product to an agent of some sort?
  7. If you stay with this man you are fifty percent at fault for the abuse. I don't care what anybody says, you do have a choice. As far as the child is concerned I do not think this baby needs Ted Bundy for a parent. Get away from him and if at possible do not let him know where you are at.
  8. Shes I like your post tremendously. Well thought out and actually very succinct considering the enormous amount you had to share with us. There is only one thing I disagree with. I think we are all freaks underneath the false exterior of normalacy that society has fastooned us with. The reason why people divorce is because one might be afraid of the judgements society would impose upon them and the other might become compulsive obsessive of their kinky proclivity to the exclusion of all other activities. Kinky and romantic both serve different psychological purposes and are both different forms of communication (and fun). The adventurous erotic and childhood staple and the other is the expression of love that comes from true connection. ' Show me somebody normal and I'll show you somebody who's afraid of who they really are. (unless of course they really don't have an imagination) --- although I will never understand people who are attracted to urination and defecation or the desire to chow down on an anus. That is very Freud and positively disgusting.
  9. Tig there ain't anything wrong with staring so long as it obviously intended with no disrespect. It's a form of flirtation. And as far as UK girls go, what the hell are they gonna do, hit men with their crumpets and tea pots?
  10. dude you're twenty one with almost no experience dating other women and also have a sexual attraction to males. Don't rush into marriage. This is too young.
  11. I don't know why women stare, maybe cuz they see a fly in your hair or something' I dunno, but I can tell you why this guy was staring. Guys often stare cuz they are interested but they are both self-conscious and have too much pride to flirt and risk looking like they've got lettace between their teeth. In this case. And I got confused by your story, so if I am getting this wrong say so: Guy likes you. Guy's girl he is dancing with see's him looking at you. He plays it off by saying you were looking at him and he was only just wondering why. Guys often get distracted by other cute girls on the floor cuz they are the ones not with them (however don't even get me started about the girls).
  12. This is gonna sound like a retarded funny statement but the biggest problem with porn is the acting. NO woman just goes bezerk every second of the sex and screams even when the guy is adjusting positions and not really dpoing much thrusting. I wish people just acted like themselves or realistically and showed they enjoyed what they were doing . I see this one woman screaming hysterically like she is having the best orgasm of her life and all he is doing is fitting it back in after it slipped out. Sometimes it would be cooler if they just CALMED down. Funniest moment in porn ever. Girl is getting gang banged. This black guy is standing there wanking. This really big white guy is also wanking. White guy ejaculates at the girl and misses, splattering the black guy all over his arm and shoulder. He is trying not to act fazed as he continues to wank but he keeps glancing at his arm cuz you know he is totally grossed out.
  13. Ph yeah but adults gotta live their own lives too. They shouldn't live their entire lives miserable and in an unhealthy relationship to protect a kid from something bad happening. We are raising a bunch of pansies these days as it is. And no, kids really don't always believe everything their parents do and act like. Sure maybe when they are four. But they do grow out of thinking what their parents say is dogmatic. It's called rebellion. And I doubt you'll find too many exact duplicates of their parents walking around. And yeah, I have been around a lot of kids
  14. Dn well there ain't much good you can advise somebody who wants to engage in a fake marriage but yeah, i agree with you. Your advise is sound, Revowing loyalty and commitment is pretty much the best thing she can do under such a unhealthy decision.
  15. DN I am totally convinced she is gonna tell him.
  16. In the end this doesn't matter. I don't think you will hide your cheating from him forever anyway. The guilt and the lie that you are living will eat at you. Everytime you kiss him you are gonna do it with lips that were wrapped around that other guy's member. Your memory will grow stronger rather than diminish...of course I could be wrong...but just think. Everytime either of you say I love you you are gonna have the knowledge that he would instead be saying something awful if he knew...
  17. Sounds like a cop out to me. A frightened decision.
  18. Kids don't automatically presume everything they say is the way it is gonna be growing up. They eventually learn to form their own opinions and interpretations on the matter.
  19. I grew up witnessing some of the worst conditions possible for a relationship between two people and I can honestly say I don't think much about it anymore. I think children are a lot tougher than you think. That being said, it is a very arrogant statement to say my viewpoint is naive as well as a weak argument when I am telling you what is important to me. However if having a viewpoint from somebody who has been cheated on is important to you I can say that at least one person who is one of the most important people in my life was cheated on by her husband as well as was my mom's first husband. I have heard from both of them how important they find honesty, esp the former, and how important knowing what the indiscretions are that were commited against them and going from there. In the end she chose to work it out but he left anyway. And I don't know HOW many people I have heard over and over again telling me that they had to know. My evidence is thus based from experience even if it isn't my own. And that can count for just as much when you know the people very well who have experienced these things. maybe it took you two years but there is no scientific evidence to back that up that it takes everybody two years. Now here is what is really naive. Thinking that the reality her husband is living, not knowing, is just as true as the reality of if he did know. He believe's she hasn't cheated. His knowledge of the situation (her fidelity) is inferior to hers. There is the truth and there is the truth we perceive, but believing something doesn't make it so.
  20. Actually the person who is gonna be hurt the most (who is among the innocent parties) is the one who should be considered first. Kids are hurt by their parents divorce but not anywhere close to how hurt he is gonna be. Sorry but the relationship is more about them than it is the kids. Parents each have an individual relationship to give to them. And I couldn't disagree more with you on this. It's like saying would you rather live an average life awake or a great life asleep. The interaction of their marriage would be based upon dishonest communication and even if he is gonna be in pain he is owed the truth. In the long run anybody who isn't terribly weak is gonna be able to appreciate that much. No I have never been cheated on. But I do know what is important to me. What's 'real' is what is important. I want to know the truth. I might hate her for it. I might even want to die. But i deserve the right to know that my wife has acted like a monster and the choice to be or not be with somebody like that. If he can forgive her, great. If not, he deserves the right to move on. And if he finds out from somebody else I am telling you it is gonna be ALOT worse and she will have the bonus problem of not being able to plan the situation in which she would have informed him (like when the kids ain't around that weekend).
  21. Phreck 1. It would make a great difference to me and to a lot of people I suspect about how he finds out. If somebody comes and tells him he is gonna know she was still remaining dishonest about it and keeping it a secret. That will cause him to wonder and suspect even more than if she sobbingly confesses, admitting she still loves him. It might not be much, but she has that slight self-respect and tiny bit of integrity to fess up about what a horrible thing she did. If I found out my wife was cheating I would be devestated and furious either way. But I would hate the person even more (if possible) if I found out from somebody else and not my wife because then she's also being dishonest by keeping it a secret when it is very much his business and his decision to stay or not. 2. The whole marriage will be based on a lie. Who the hell wants that??? What is the point of a relationship if it is only conditional on an untruth? As far as the children go, they should not be the main reason here. The kids will probably be less damaged than he will actually. For once this woman needs to be strong about something.
  22. She has got to tell him for two reasons. One as the young but very wise beyond her years 17 year old girl pointed out the relationship would not really be real or healthy with this hanging over it. If they are gonna break up they might as well get it over with. 2. even more importantly perhaps, what if the husband does find out about it (other guy or his wife contacts him and tells him, he finds evidence etc) it is gonna be a hell of a lot worse if he finds out from somebody else than it will be if it is his wife shedding a tearful confession. He is (understably actually) liable to act violent, sadistic, or in a way that will make things a lot worse and he will resent her ten times worse. If she loses the relationship that's her fault but this is the best option to mitigate possible pain.
