  1. I agree with this completely. I would add that you should also tell him that what he is doing is a little bit cruel and cold-hearted, even though it is most likely unintentional.
  2. he was only joking, I hope. But I can see you point though. Perhaps I am confusing shyness with inhibitions. Or perhaps I need a vacation, lol.
  3. This could be anything. She could have changed her mind, or she could be messing with you. There is only one way to find out.
  4. that was only an exaggeration, lol.
  5. I just had a thought. Perhaps a little bit of shyness is necessary to help us maintain our inhibitions. Think about it. If it were not for shyness, I imagine some people would be asking out anything that moves. It only becomes a problem when it is extreme shyness. Like I said, just a thought. What do you think?
  6. Couldn't have said it better myself. Also, Hello fellow North Carolinian.
  7. I think 48 hours is a good rule of thumb.
  8. 3 words: Little Black Book If you only meant to get one number at a time, it would be called a little black business card.
  9. I agree with all of these. The only thing I have to add is this: Whatever you do, do not tell the second person that they are the runner up. I'm sure you probably already knew that, but I put it out there anyway.
  10. I don't know, that has never happened to me before. Knowing myself, I probably wouldn't even notice.
  11. Just don't get too good at yoga, you'll never want to leave the house, lmao. Seriously, notice all of the different opinions listed in the responses? In other words, you can meet people just about anywhere. Sometimes when you aren't even trying.
  12. Just dont date anyone who is also boring. Nothing would ever get done. Find the right person, you might not be boring anymore.
  13. I third it, lol. These are the two best pieces of advise you could be given. All you will end up doing is making her mad. You think she is toying with you now!?!?!
  14. I've said it before in other threads. Read Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus. It'll tell you everything you need to know about the opposite sex. As far as "dating rules", every person being different makes that impossible to generalize. However, the book at least tells you how men and women think.
  15. I can imagine that the person of most people's dreams would think they are attractive no matter what they looked like. So in a way, the question is a paradox. I honestly have no idea which I would choose.
  16. I can sympathize with you on this. I have not dated once since me and my wife split (just over a year). I just don't care anymore. My closest friends say that will change. Of course it will change, but not today, lol.
  17. Yes, this is perfectly normal. Me and my wife split a year ago, she moved 1000 miles away, and I get those same feelings (even though I have not dated once since the split, and don't plan to in the foreseeable future.) Even considering what she did, part of me thinks about her, and always will.
  18. Been there, done that. I was married to a person that could not keep a job. I was even working 2 jobs at one point while she sat around and ate toast and apple butter all day. After 5 years, I couldnt take it anymore. I suppose there is nothing wrong with an aragment like I just described, but it's not for me. I prefer an equal relationship.
  19. Well, depends on how you would react if I grabbed your butt in return. If you're cool, I'm cool.
  20. Who are we to make that judgement? 18 is beyond the age of concent. Granted that is too young for my personal taste, but if the 2 people are happy, then why not? It's very similar to the attitude people took 40 years ago in regards to interracial relationships. Only the prejudice has changed. Think about it.
