shes2smart
"Only New York Going On" - Francis Dunnery If only for this line: "4am...I had a thought that God left me tonight...and it's a terrible thought 'cause it feels like it's right" "Ships" - Big Country Stuart Adamson's voice always sounded like there were tears in it...even on the uptempo songs. On this one, it'll rip your heart out: "Where were you when my ship went down, where were you when I ran aground, where were you when I turned it 'round, where were you when they burned me down?" justpaisley
Third Day's "Love Song." It describes how Jesus loves us, and it was playing on the radio when I was in the process of losing my first pregnancy. I realized that it's also perfect for how a parent feels about his/her child, because... well, here's the chorus: Just to be with you, I'd do anything There's no price I would not pay Just to be with you, I'd give anything I would give my life away. That's exactly how I felt for my baby, and every time I hear that song (even now that I'm thinking about it) I start to tear up. Link to comment

Mysterious Gurl
REM - Everybody hurts. I can relate to that song. Here are the lyrics: When the day is long and the night, the night is yours alone, When you're sure you've had enough of this life, well hang on. Don't let yourself go, everybody cries and everybody hurts sometimes. Sometimes everything is wrong. Now it's time to sing along. When your day is night alone, (hold on, hold on) If you feel like letting go, (hold on) When you think you've had too much of this life, well hang on. Everybody hurts. Take comfort in your friends. Everybody hurts. Don't throw your hand. Oh, no. Don't throw your hand. If you feel like you're alone, no, no, no, you are not alone If you're on your own in this life, the days and nights are long, When you think you've had too much of this life to hang on. Well, everybody hurts sometimes, Everybody cries. And everybody hurts sometimes. And everybody hurts sometimes. So, hold on, hold on. Hold on, hold on. Hold on, hold on. Hold on, hold on. (Everybody hurts. You are not alone.) Link to comment

keenan
Brokedown Palace - The Greatful Dead (Nice Mournful Song about loss) GREAT song! Mama, mama many worlds I've come since I first left home. I also like Bea's Song, by the Cowboy Junkies. The album is Lay It Down, which I think is the CJ album with the highest production quality. Actually, just about any Cowboy Junkies song is fantastic and heartbreaking. Marot Timmins is amazing live. Link to comment
