I'm getting a pretty good sized one (that's just one of the aspects I'll miss about working at the hospital, really, big tax returns). A little bit of it I'm giving to my aunt for the Xbox One for my uncle's birthday next month and I'll probably treat myself to a new tattoo but the rest I'll keep back as I start house hunting in earnest.

Well, that a new charger for my Mac. Because my kids are Satan, especially the fluffy gargoyle who likes to chew on things.

I ended up falling off the trunk of my car while trying to put a decal on the back window my aunt made for me. Literally fell off the car. Because my back window slants so much I had to crawl on top of the trunk and either gravity or my natural klutz state took over and before I knew it I was on my butt on the ground. Got the decal on though!

Thank you Vic!

I think I broke my aunt tonight. Seriously we haven't stopped giggling for the last hour. We were watching the show How It's Made and they were talking about oysters.

*Oysters eat seawater*

Me: "They eat? I'm never eating them again."

Aunt: *giggles*

*Show talks about them reproducing*

Me: "They reproduce?!"

Aunt: *looks at me* "What did you think, there was an infinite amount in the sea?"

Me: "Maybe."

Aunt: "You do realize they are an animal, correct?"

Me: "....No."

And that was the moment I broke her. Truly broke her. And only broke her more when I asked were scallops animals. My poor uncle just sat there through all this looking at me like he was contemplating disowning me. I'll never be able to say 'I have a stupid question' ever again without these two snickering.

LOLOL. Sometimes you're so blonde

I had a moment like that a few weeks ago. Alex was going on about how he wants bees, and we drove past a sign that said "mason bees for sale" he was like, "like that! I want masonry bees! They're friendly bees, no stingers." I'm just sitting in the passenger seat picturing happy little masonry worker bees with trowels and bricks... lol. Just kind of broke my brain. Maybe you had to be there, but it kept me giggling the rest of the day.

I love your short hair! I think both of us do better with shorter hair, more style, more body. (sounding like a 1990's shampoo ad)

ugh, I worked 16 hours yesterday. I don't want to see the inside of my store for a few days. Sadly I only have today off. Blah. I do have a long weekend though, I'm off Thurs-Sunday for the SCA event. So excited!!!

They are calling for bad weather here but can't make their mind up if we are getting snow or just freezing rain. Naturally.

My neck is killing me right now though. Stupid weather.

Did it hurt to get?

Eh, only as much as getting a tattoo hurts. It's my second one and while it hurt, it wasn't the kind of hurt were I was like 'Oh my God, you HAVE to stop!' It was just like a momentary discomfort that had me biting my lip. The worst part was the long lines and the inner wrist is always the most painful. As soon as he was done I was like okay, when can I get my next one? haha

Thankfully I remembered to give blood a few weeks back since I can't give it for the next year.

I had so much fun at the SCA event this weekend!! Such a blast.

It was held near Charleston so it was a four hour drive away. My uncle went with some friends earlier that day to set up something going on that night so at 4 on Friday me, my aunt, and my cousin drove down. And as always any road trip with my aunt and me had us laughing most of the four hour drive between axe murdering gas stations, almost dying (because people in SC can't drive for crap), and McDonalds trying to kill us with salt. Our first night there (Friday) there was this tavern night going on with games going on. We ate, played a few games, and got settled into our cabins. Which is when my aunt and I realized we MIGHT watch too much ID channel because our first thought upon hearing a rustling in the woods was we were about to be murdered (nope, just another SCA member going to the bathroom).

Saturday morning we got up and got dressed in garb to start the event. I have to say I was in love with my cloak. I was genuinely disappointed not to be able to wear that sucker every day, haha. I mostly stuck with my aunt in the feast hall watching the Arts and Sciences stuff or out on the field watching my uncle fight. Then there was court (which is pretty much how it sounds, the higher nobility sit in thrones while the rest of the members sit in chairs). It's were they hand out awards and give recognition to members. They also call all new comers to come up and since it was my first event I had to go up. There's also the rule a lady is never unescorted when being called into court so as I stood to go down Hot Irish Guy (the one I kissed at New Years) stepped up to escort me down. After court we had feast (think very large dinner) with the food cooked with recipes from that era. After feast it was pretty much everyone breaking apart and huddling around camp fires until bed time.

But for OG Saturday night was a good night too because she spent it in the Hot Irish Guy's cabin. Yep. Very good.

We packed the cabin up this morning and came home. And I learned with on road trips my uncle likes to sing along to the radio - loudly and comically. I couldn't breath I was laughing so hard at some points. Once we got the car unpacked and everything squared away we all quickly went through showers (ah, the invention of hot water!) and then I took the family out to eat at Red Lobster as a small way to show my thanks for everything they've done for me since I called my aunt crying that September afternoon.

All in all it was a great weekend! I made some new friends and I really enjoyed it. I'm going to join the society, too. My aunt gave me a box (the first one she ever made in the society) as my first bling box (what you put your jewelry in) to get me started. Thankfully I don't have to work tonight so I'm just sat on the couch now in a food coma from too many cheesy biscuits, haha

Ooh. So tell me more about hot Irish guy.

Hot Irish is sweet. We spent most of the day flirting and more than a few times making out (this part had M in giggles considering the clothing we were wearing). We spent the night together but I'm not looking for a relationship in the slightest so it was very much a scratch the itch kind of situation.

Jasper is going to hate me come Thursday. I've noticed over the last few weeks that the fur on his back has become increasingly matted but the fur from mid way to his front is still smooth. I took him to the vet and the vet didn't think it was a medical condition, just that he's getting up in years (he'll turn 7 next month) and either can't reach back there or just doesn't want to. So off to the groomers we go on Thursday. My poor old man.

Shadowfax is a year old now. Were did my baby go?!

It's rare for the cats and dogs to get into a fight but when they do it's hilarious. Jasper is the instigator (of course) but Luna always comes to defend him while Shadowfax watches from the door. But Jasper looses momentum and will turn to leave and then Luna always smacks him as if to say 'Get back in there and defend my honor older brother!' Meanwhile Shadowfax is still sitting there looking at them like they've lost their mind.

I took Jasper on Thursday and thankfully they didn't have to shave him, just have him a good brush (which it took three of them to do). They were all dotting on him though and saying how gorgeous he is.

I have the house to myself this weekend (family is out of town for a con). Well, me, the three cats, and two dogs. After tonight I'm off until Tuesday. I think I'm going to take myself on a date tomorrow and go see 50 Shades. I'm leaving out Sunday night to go visit mom and Munchkin for a day. Have tentative plans for lunch on Monday with some old co workers.
