  1. If you don't date now, your options of meeting new and exciting people to date AFTER uni is only going to go DOWN. Just my thoughts.
  2. I'm shy and emotional. Not all women mind doing the chasing. Some men do. thereforeeee, I think they would be further off going against the traditional gender roles nonsense.
  3. Well, at least you know what you want. That's important. Let us know when you find him (so the rest of us can rejoice with you AND have a little hope in our searches as well)!
  4. It may be common, as many of these folk say, but it sure does suck... wasting your Saturday night, sitting home alone, cursing your life. Been there, done that. And I've heard of success stories of girls who chased the guy (the guys were always shy, in my examples.) One of which, was a (former) good friend of mine, who was asked out by the woman who is now his wife. They've been together for over 6 years now, or maybe longer even. The other, belongs to one of my mentors, a very intelligent guy, but shy with women. His wife (now) ended up taking an interest in him, asking him out and the rest is history. They've been married for 21 or 22 years now. So don't think it never works, because I've seen it and it does. I wouldn't give up chasing (bad term, probably) men, just because it hasn't worked out before. Be different. So what if you are swimming against the stream? Everyone loves and underdog... and we both know, the underdog ALWAYS wins in the end. Always.
  5. Chemistry is something you just... sense. Generally, it won't be there if you don't converse with each other. It's like a little spark or an awareness of just somehow "being" on the same page, without communicating it. Attraction, depends largely on his personality. He could become really talkative or quiet, he could become super sweet or maybe he becomes a jerk. He could ignore you completely, or start throwing things at you, making fun of you, or maybe he will ask you for your number. If so depends on the guy's disposition, and all men are different, sorry to say.
  6. Get a haircut. I know I'm just reiterating what the consensus has just said, but it was the first thing I noticed when I saw your pic. Aside from that, I don't know. I'm not the one to listen to, either. I have no flying clue how to get an attractive girl either, so we're much alike. Even the weight thing - I'm 6'2", 145 lbs. Yeah, I'm HUGE. lol Anyway, get a haircut and best of luck to you.
  7. As long as attraction is there, then no, weight does not matter.
  8. Send the skeptic yours! lmao then he'll TRULY believe us! lol
  9. And if the mods were smart, then they'd do an IP check to confirm it. Avman didn't believe me either, but regardless...
  10. Believe what you want, but it be true, my friend. lol 1. Who the hell would want to be him? 2. Go read some of 'Wilhelm's' posts? He's pretty damned-negative. 3. Getting your email/password bogarted so you have to reregister is another reason why. 4. I posted my pic here as Kevin T. The avatar is the same. Maybe, just maybe... if I'm not so negative, then I've conquered those demons? Wouldn't that be nice? I have no reason to feel negatively about my looks anymore... though shyness is still a big problem for me.
  11. It freaked me out. You are a psych major? You have to be! I agree with everything you told me. It's freaky. Why would you be that dead-on accurate? Psychic maybe? lol (Nah, that's all nonsense.) But it is odd that you'd be that piercingly precise. I need to listen to your advice. Tell me then, what exactly should I do? Just start being positive about myself or...? I'm not down on my looks anymore, but... is it just start being positive then what I believe will happen?
  12. Needless to say (or maybe not) Wilhelm = Kevin T.
  13. OMG, that is my text book... I think. I recognize those authors. lmao Lemme double check. lol Nope, I've got the fourth edition. lmao I'm newer.
  14. All stuff that applies to myself too.
  15. What are women better at? Or not better at?
  16. Holy... crap. How did you do that? lol You've got my number down to a tee. What you said, sent a chill down my spine. Seriously. I need to listen to this guy... who has fifty posts and seems to know more than 100 other members here put together. lol Eerie...
  17. I agree completely. But that's nothing to be worried over. Do the best you can and be happy with it.
  18. Yes, but I'm actually too lazy to bother looking them up for you.
  19. Haven't looked. Don't care. Didn't you get that the first time? I have nothing to prove to you. Either believe me, or don't. I know what I read and if you can't accept that, then I can live with that. and just so you know, even if you saw a study on it... you can't believe it anyway. Studies don't count here, you know.
  20. I'm not going to waste my time. Believe whatever you want. You will anyway. (That wasn't directed at you, dako)
  21. Our salvation is assured, no reason to fear. We have nothing to argue about. Imagine, arguing with God? Who's gonna win? lol
  22. I am not a chick, bud. Two: I would post citations, but you don't have access to my university's library, so you can't read the info there. And most online journals require PAYMENT to read their articles. Would you like to pay to see the citations?
