  1. don't worry man, i am too in the same situation. The important thing is that you make the effort to make friends. If you don't put any effort into it, then you are not gonna get anything out of it. Like what the DJ says, atleast try to start making a social life. Good luck to you, and to us too.
  2. There is a lot of ways to do it. If you have access to a local gym, they have machines that specializes in building back muscles. Using dumbells at home would also work. link removed Hope that helps.
  3. What is something that you can do in college as a married person that you can't do as a single person? I personally can't see the point. Do you really need a marriage certificate to show that you love each other in college?
  4. Dude.. Going to the atm at 1 AM is like sending out a signal for people to rob you. If you really need money that late at night, go to an ATM with people around at least. Let this be a lesson.
  5. It can be really hard to have a conversation with people that you don't know well. One thing you could do is prep for it. Think of questions beforehand to ask. When you actually talk to them, make sure to look at them. Don't make faces like you are bored or sleepy. Pay attention when they talk. Smile if needed.
  6. The main upper body muscles are: chest, biceps, triceps, and shoulder/back. Go to this site. It has some workouts with dumbells. link removed If you are going for looks, chest and triceps are probably the main areas you want to work on. When you flex your arms, having good triceps really makes your arm appear bigger. Hope that helps.
  7. I think you are probably not eating enough suger. Your brain needs glucose to function properly. I suggest eating honey before you do your training. Research has proven that honey really does help a lot in endurance training as a carboyhydrate source. Honey Thirst Quencher: 1/2 cup honey dissolved in water 1/2 teaspoon lite salt orange juice or any type of citric juice You can probably find other drinks online. Hope that helps!
  8. First of all, what are you going for? Biceps? Triceps? Chest? You got the right idea. Night time is usually the best time to work on your muscles. I see you doing the pyramid reps, which is also good. You gotta be more specifc like what stratguy said if you want better advice.
  9. Questions to ask yourself: Why does your family/friends think you are immature? Do you do things that are childish or act like a goof ball sometimes? When things don't go your way, how do you act?
  10. confidence (n) A feeling of assurance, especially of self-assurance. The state or quality of being certain. cocky (adj) Overly self-assertive or self-confident. Basically if you are too full of yourself and shows off too much then you're probably gonna be considered cocky. Confidence is when you know you can do something without making such a big deal about it.
  11. The two most important thing you have to consider is time and money. Since you already spent two years of college in something you do not want to see yourself doing in the future, are you willing to spent an additional two or more years in college to find something else that might interest you? And obviously do you have the finance to pay the tuition. You might have to get a job to pay it while taking the classes, if your parent aren't gonna help. Its a hard decision, but you got to relax and think about it carefully.
  12. One of the most popular traits that most people say they look for in a partner is someone that makes them laugh. Which shows that people tend to want to be around the funny, more lively people, because it just more fun. Being around a gloomy person can cause uneasiness, which is not fun. In a sense happiness can be very attractive and if they are able to share that happiness then even better.
  13. Mouth wash isn't good for bad breath in the long run because it contains alcohol which dries up your mouth. Obviously brushing and flossing is a must. Over brushing isn't necessary a good thing. One thing that really helps is having a proper diet. Fruits, vegetables and yogurt, especially yogurt, helps prevent bad breath.
  14. Hey. Choosing college classes eh? As someone that is also in the engineering department in college, I highly recommend you take the Physic class with the good teacher. How well you do in a college class depends on two things. How hard you study and how good the teacher is. Physics can be a tough class to some people, theres a lot of concepts to understand. You really want to make sure that you understand these physics concept if you are continuing on with engineering. Taking with a good teacher will not only make you understand it better, you'll probably get a higher grade. Plus, if statistic is is listed in the summer course schedule, chances of them canceling it is pretty low. Its summer! Don't waste your summer spending all your time trying to understand physics with a crappy professor. Have some fun. Good luck.
  15. Blood phobias, hmmm. I'm not a psych or an expert but there are some things you can do to lessen the effect. Of course real professional help is the better way but it cost money. First of all, do you faint at the sight of blood? or and the smell? or both, or is it just the idea of blood freaks you out? I highly doubt just seeing blood visually is the problem, or u'll be fainting at the sight of tomato juice If its the smell, learn to breathe through your month. If its just the idea of blood or a combination of the senses then its gonna take a lot of time and effort. One thing that professionals do for phobias is conditioning the mind. Like with arachnaphobia, the patient is first in a room in with a harmless small spider, at a distance. Gradually they work they're way closer and closer, and to the point where they can touch them. You can apply this technique with blood. Buy or have someone buy a nice meaty steak or pigs blood (quite tasty i might add when cooked right). See how you are around it it. Can you tolerate being around it? Touch it even? If you faint at the sight of a piece of meat, then do something even smaller than that. I can't think of anything smaller, but if there is one try that instead. You need to start out small, then work your way up. Watching that video was not a good idea. Even some people that don't have blood phobia can barely stomach watching that. Don't rush things. Go only on to the next stage when you are confidently ready. Doing Biology doesn't necessarily mean you have to be comfortable with blood, there are other types of biologist out there. So don't think that theres no future with your career choice. Well, I hope i was helpful. If you actually do try what i describled above, try to do it with someone and don't faint on hardwood floors!! PM me how it went, I would like to know if it works or not. Good Luck! ArcherZ
