I guess I can add a few more. I play 2d//3d fighting games competitively. You know like Street Fighter and Tekken. Also look for new music very often.. mainly in the indie genre. Did I mention car audio? Well this is my obsession... it can generate more stress but that's only before you actually have enough money to get the equipment you want. I'm so obsessed I got a second job selling car audio equipment at circuit city... sure, it's not the highest end stuff but it's my hobby and i get to help people. oooo another boring saturday night -.ins

So what do you all do to clear your mind or take it off something after a long day. or what do you enjoy doing with your freetime? just curious on what some people's favorite things are. As for me... i spend most of my time in my car or prepping it for my stereo to be put in. That really is unfortunate. I want to thank you for posting this it really shed some light on something I went through. well I guess you got something out of it but ultimately you didn't get what you wanted. from my experience with this I figure that she is responsible for making you into a better person. reminds me of a chorus from a song: "And that's why If you're looking at me I'll try To be what you want to see And if I If I'm ever that lucky You won't have to be so You won't have to be so sad" it's o.k. though just keep your head up and i'm sure you already know there are plenty other great people out there. -.ins

I kind of understand. I have a different case though working 2 jobs and going to school and people really get on my nerves sometimes. I'm usually always tired and mad at the world once someone makes me mad for the day, and I too find it hard to find positive things. My best friend ever, my mother, even is starting to get on my nerves... i feel really guilty about things that I should be proud of. I deal with it the stupid way and put on an act whenever I leave the house to go to work or school... so it's just all supressed and i never really talk about it.... i wasn't always like this but i experienced way too many negative things in the last year and that really put me into a deep hole. .ins

The whole fact of "going down" isn't really for the taste IMO. it's one of those things that can be nasty but is so good.

I'm 6'4 and weighed 300 pounds last year.... No one believed me because I carry it well and I am active. Since last may I've been eating healthy, lifting and excercises as much as I can... Now I'm at 240 and have no problem keeping it off. My advice is to just start watching what you eat. Maybe workout a little bit each day. Salads (go light on the dressing) are great, so is water. If you drink alot of pop just cold turkey straight to diet//caffeine free. Eventually it will all catch up to you... and once you start eating healthy you will notice a major difference in your personality//lifestyle as well I bet. or atleast I did. .ins

she's 16 and just got her license... so that doesn't help. When I was 16 i never wanted to wait either. But we have a christmas party at work and I guess I could bring her along to that or something if all works out good. This week is a really busy time to. Either way I don't really care, she's really nice and still a good friend. .ins

That's what I'm thinking. I did call her home number, and no one was there till her mom got my message. Then she did call me back pretty quickly, but this was around like 5 p.m. I don't expect anyone to sit around and wait that long. She just got her cell so she couldn't give it to me before or I most likely would have gotten ahold of her. .ins

Around 2 weeks ago before winter break I got this girls number. She tells me I better call her and set something up for next week. I call her that sunday, we aggree tuesday is great. So I get up tuesday around 1 and call. (1 is a fair time for high schoolers I thought because we all do like to sleep) Well no one answers, so I try again at 4 and leave a message. Then I get a call 10 minutes later from her cell phone (number she just got) saying her and her girl friend are going to a movie... I should call her back thurs. I call her on thursday to see if she would be interested in going down to the U of I campus for lunch at a coffee shop and going to some of the stores (she likes to shop). She says she was supposed to be finding a job to help pay for the car she is getting, so that's what she is doing today. Then she told me what she was doing this weekend, which was way better than "I'm going out to look for a job today". I just told her good luck with finding a job, and I'll see her on Monday @ school. She said "sorry" and told me to have fun or something. The thing I don't understand is how strong of a signal she was sending me that day before break, as compared to now... how she is always doing something when I call (which is fine because I have other things to do) I'd just like to spend a day with her. I guess I'm asking should I let it go, or give it more time... she's good friends with my cousin and my cousin keeps telling me to give it more time and talk with her more. thanks for all your time. .ins

Well... i called her up today around 1... no answer.... around 4... no answer... left a message at 5... her mom got it then my friend calls my cell saying she already is getting ready to go out with her friend to a movie and she feels bad. i play it off and say no problem, this and that... hopefully we can find some free time another day. she says that'd be great. I text her (i hate texting)since she was in a movie, to let her know i'll call her tomorrow since I have no plans and if she'd like lunch and other random activities that I'm all for it. I was really down whenever she called and was already doing something, but what can I do? she kept telling me to call her again but on this number so I guess she isn't blowing me off.... oh well...... went from a good day to a bad one pretty quickly.... something just needs to play out how I plan for once. whenever I meet someone there is always a catch no matter how random it may be, but coming home and watching napoleon dynamite alone isn't exactly fun. should I call her tomorrow or is it ruined? i'm lost here... i know there is interest I just don't want her thinking the wrong thing ya know? .ins

I don't think lowering standards is what I meant. There is obvious physical and intellectual attraction... but not exactly the type I have gone for before. oh well... tomorrow is the big day! .ins

it's hard to judge sometimes, not the friend thing, but i'm pretty well off for being in high school. I work 2 jobs... i've had a few that just want my wallet or what not. but they seem to be a bit more crude and real good looking unfortunately. I've lowered my standards a bit and found her, she is very nice, not super attractive and not every guy goes after. i just have to think of something to do besides going out to dinner.... suggestions? it's really cold here so outside is pretty much out of the question.

okay, if you don't do it and you ask her out over text... how do you plan on keeping a conversation while you are in the same vehicle? or out to eat... I made my first phone call to this girl today and I just confirmed a date and told her I look forward to it. Humor goes along way if you are shy, just totally open up. they aren't as judgemental as you think! .ins

Gift giving is such a hard situation. I gave my friend a b-day gift that consisted of a card and a giftcard to somewhere she always goes. I pushed a button somewhere because that's what set it off... i guess for xmas we are just going out to a nice dinner and the mall next week. Just do what you think is right.... sometimes it doesn't matter how much the gift is worth. Sentimental value can be very important in the end. So in other words, listen close and try to gather things she likes by what she says. just a thought you know .ins

Good news... today i went to school. Got to talk to her for about a good hour. She opened my notebook and said, "i'll tell you what, call me next week whenever we are on break, we can go out" so it's safe to say she is interested, and most likely from what i gathered she seems o.k. so all good for me i guess - it was almost to easy, when I was going to get her number she just handed it over without me asking.... .ins

These people who I was sitting with weren't really "friends" just the ones who didn't decide to arrive 2 hours early for seats at the high school basketball game... We'll see how it all goes.... .ins

I really think it's jealousy; since she isn't exactly the type of girl most guys would break up with their girlfriend and get with. This just really put me off because I've been screwed over before with something similiar and was to dumb to realize it was too good to be true. she seems like she is real to me, but I guess you can't really pick out the backstabbers from the regular people. .ins

Tonight I was at my HS basketball game. It was the first quarter whenever I saw this girl I'm interested in - and everyone else noticed her too... she isn't liked because she is pretty snobby but she shows interest. The comments from some of the people were basically stating how she likes to try to break up other couples and cause controversy. She's really cute and nice to me, but being the successful young man ( ) that I am I want to get your opinions. Is she just jealous that she doesn't have someone? Or is it deeper than that. And alot of the things they were saying were really mean, like personal jokes and how they are going to vandalize her car and whatnot. Should I tell her this? or will it make me look bad? I'm already on her good side or should I just let her go? thanks! .ins
