askdan
My ex-wife and I have been in touch at irregular intervals for the past 3.5 years now. Some of our communications were pleasant, some unpleasant. It has come to the point now that she totally disrespects me, or simply ignores me or gives me the attitude whenever I communicate with her (requesting something formal, or wishing her a happy birthday for example). I am considering starting the disappearance act at midnight tonight March 1st. Which means that it is a form of No Contact, but to the degree that I completely disappear from any type of social media (Facebook, Twitter, Skype, etc.) We live in two different cities and we don't have any mutual friends. Anyone pulled this off before? Has it worked? If so, what was the duration of the Disappearance Act? I am mentally preparing myself to disappear in a few hours, like Cinderella. :suspicion: Link to comment

1a1a
This sounds like childish games. Why don’t you disappear, but for yourself, go and live your best life!! Link to comment
Ziggy123
Sounds like you should have already disappeared long ago after the break up. Better late then never I guess Link to comment
Hollyj
Why are you in any contact if there are no children? Why not go NC, forever? Link to comment
Hollyj
You are getting married to another woman this year. Why is this such a concern? Link to comment
Starlight925
Why are you still communicating at all, if you have no children, and you are engaged to another woman? Link to comment
annie24
wait - yeah - why is this in "getting back together" if you are engaged to another woman??? Link to comment
Jeffbobo
My disappearing act started on d-day. Divorced, done and didn’t look back. And yeah... What eveyone else is asking... Link to comment
DanZee
Just cut off all contact with your ex. You're only hurting yourself by keeping in contact with her. Link to comment
MissCanuck
Yes, I have 3 significant exes I no longer communicate with whatsoever. It wasn't about anything other than wanting to move on. No animosity anymore; just plain old lack of desire to remain in their lives. Why did it take you 3.5 years to get to this point? Link to comment
Wiseman2
Ok after 3,5 years there should be no contact, no shared social media. Disappearing should have been after the divorce. Start dating other women and stop wasting time on her.We have no children. Link to comment

catfeeder
Anyone ever pulled the disappearance act on an ex? Of course. Key word being 'ex'. Zero contact after the breakup, and no looking back. I highly recommend it. Link to comment
