  1. Hmmmm.....here are the 5 traits I hold highest: (in no particualr order) -Sensitive~ Very important especially w/ an extremely sensitive person like me -Trustworthy~ loyalty and honesty are probably one of the best traits anyone can possess -Has a passionate interest in something~ It's always good to have a hobby -Intelligent~ true intelligence is not booksmarts but rather the ability to make responsible and wise choices -Confident~ enoguh that he respects himself Height and looks really don't matter to me. I can't really be choosy bout height anywhoo. I'm a tall female.
  2. Hmmmm......I dunno bout that. I've known many girls who were in relationships and ended up being the "dumpee" rather than the "dumper" I think there are some gender roles we unconsciously perform.......however today some typical traditional gender roles seemed to have dwindled. Such as dating for instance. It was usually the guy's given role to ask the girl out on a date. However, it is becoming more common for the girls to do the asking.
  3. Did ya ever hear that if you're attracted to someone, your pupils will dilate(get bigger)? I think that's interesting. It's a natural occurrence that ya can't control even if ya know it's happening.
  4. hmmmm.....well, crossing your arms tends to make ya appear standoffish. Also women don't appreciate when ya stare at their chest. And if you're at a party, don't drink too much either.
  5. How right you are! There's this guy I work w/ who I'm pretty sure likes me(at least that's what my co-workers say) He's so shy....unfortunately so am I. At this rate it's not going anywhere. So I can either wait for him to make the first move, or I'm gonna have to suck it up and approach him. Other wise we're not getting anywhere ya know. But yes...I know how ya feel. In reality I'm terribly shy, but on the net I'll talk your ear off
  6. It seems as if she is sharing her personal life w/ you (such as guys that have asked her out) she may be interested. It kinda sounds like she's giving you subtle hints to ask her out. Someone once said about attraction that "men are direct, while women are indirect" It's true. When I'm interested in a guy, I'm so subtle bout it. Unfortunately, most guys don't usually pick up on the hints females give. But from my perspective, I would say she's interested. Take a deep breath and go for it!
  7. It seems like she's enjoying the sudden attention and doesn't want it to stop. She may like it so much that she's willing to do all those things to keep it. I would sit down and talk w/ her. tell you're worried bout her sudden unlikely behavior. Tell her that you care for her. That's not the kind of attention she wants anyway. But I agree fully about the enormous impact our society has. There are girls in my school in 9th grade that are already pregnant!!! That's truly a shame. The whole media seems to focus on sex anymore. Have ya seen some of the commercials??? If I were a parent I wouldn't want my children being exposed to that garbage.
  8. I know this seems repetitive but excercise does wonders. A few years back I joined a gym and I felt great. After my membership expired and I quit excercising, my mood went down and my depression rebounded. Excercise is truly therapy in itself. Try excercising w/ friends. You'll feel better!
  9. Alrighty! Thanks for the advice. I'll just have to gather up my courage and give it a go.
  10. I'm not going to say that what you are doing to yourself is right or wrong. But come on.....just think bout it for a moment. 70-80 lbs. Isn't that a lil unrealistic? Once you reach that goal, what's gonna stop you from going down to 50...or 40? Once your body is depleted of sufficient body fat, it's gonna start breaking down your organ tissues for energy..... And don't say I don't know what it feels like. I absolutely do.....oh God how I do. I had anorexia for over a year and then bulimia. Before you become angry w/ me just ask yourself one question: Is this how you wanna spend your life? Obsessing over food and and your unrealistic goal for perfection? I remember quite well how I felt. Absolutely miserable. Every single day was hell. I lost all motivation for the things I used to love and enjoy. Every thing focused on food and my strive to be "perfect." I can feel your pain. I can sympathize w/ every emotion ,every feeling you must be feeling. I wish you the best of luck, and if you ever need anyone to talk to, I'm available.
  11. Every time I want to start a conversation w/ a guy, I get myself so worked up to the point of sickness. Sometimes I even vomit. Pitiful no? I think there's something wrong w/ me. I just feel extreme fear around guys. I can barely look at em let alone talk to them without becoming a mental case. Any suggestions?
  12. It sounds to me that she likes you. when I like a guy I want to know everything about him too. It seems like she's flirting w/ other guys to kinda make ya jealous so maybe you will ask her out. That would explain why she clams up around you. I would say take your chances and ask her out. I think it's worth a try =D
  13. You're not pathetic! Your sense of morals and ideas is very admirable. Society today seems obsessed w/ sex. Nowadays, it's almost like a trend. Don't listen to those people. They're the pathetic ones, degrading you like that!
  14. There's this guy at work who I want to ask out maybe for a date to get to know him better. We're both really shy. However, my brother told me it's a turnoff to guys if a girl asks them out. Is my brother speaking the truth or is he just messin w/ me?
  15. wow.....that's so odd.....I'm in the same situation at work. Only I'm the female. We haven't started up a real conversation since we've been working together. Since you're both shy you're probably both avoiding the situation. It's stressful. I think the best thing to do is to take the initiative cause if ya wait for her, you may be waitint a while. Gather up your courage and give it a go
  16. I would say just give it a try and ask her. I know it's hard....oh gosh yes I know it's hard! But if ya don't ask her, you're gonna be sorry ya didn't..... You'll do just fine....girls love it when guys come up to them....shows a sign of confidence....Now go up to her and ask her to that dance ^_^
  17. I work with this guy and all of my co-workers say he likes me...We've worked together for quite a few months now and still haven't said much to each other. The problem is we're both very shy. I have no experience in talking to guys either. I've never dated before. I want to be brave and go up to him but I'm clueless on how to maintain a conversation w/ him.... He's been giving me subtle hints that he likes me such as if he's talking to someone else and I walk by, he gets real quiet. And I've caught him glancing at me several times during work. I'm just so lost.....please I'm open to any suggestions....any advice would be greatly appreciated ^_^
