  1. That gave me anxiety. The first time around was bad enough, I don't want to go through it again. :( My husband would go to the shop and literally there would be empty shelves, especially at the meat counter. It felt like armageddon. Please, please, please don't have it happen again. :( Pippy, check your messages, erm, elsewhere, okay? Thank you! I need to tell you more bs, lol.
  2. Batya, no, no, no....it can't be like that, lolol. I worked too hard to get it!!
  3. I never thought my life would ever get to a point where I was sweat induced shopping on Amazon, clicking buttons like a mad women and racing to be able to purchase a canister of sanitizing wipes before they disappeared off the site again, but yes, it's come to that. I can't tell you the 'win' you feel though when you get the confirmation email, lol. Ack!
  4. I wrote you a reply on here Pippy, a long-ish one too and as soon as I tried posting it, my internet crashed, lol. Ah well, I basically said the same thing in my other message to you. I am sitting here waiting for the second wave to start here as well. I know it's coming, it's only a matter of time. People are no longer singing off their balconies or clapping for the NHS are they? They have become selfish, fed up, dangerous, and so on. Even with the guidelines, people are fighting about it, saying this whole thing is a hoax. Sigh, I pray that it won't get bad, but I fear it might.
  5. What's annoying me? When someone is in a bad mood and takes it out on someone else and make them feel like crap. It's not okay!
  6. Not so much annoying me, just decided to restrict my FB on who could see my posts. There's only about 20 people now, despite me having far more friends than that on my FB list. I don't want to wonder why so and so didn't reply or comment, or cringing over what so and so will say next, etc. My mind already is chalk full of thoughts and worries, I don't need more useless worries. So now, the only people who can see my posts are the ones who constantly comment or like or show support. And it makes me happy. Why don't I just unfriend? Trust me, it's just easier this way.
  7. Someone on FB wrote that "the police and government cannot control Halloween, so let's go to Walmart and buy whatever we want and hand out whatever candy we like..it's our life!". I was thinking, "Omg, really? What is with people?" This is a virus, there are safety measures put in place to try to keep us from getting sick...for our own good! and these nutjobs are spouting out these kinds of things, encouraging others to be as irresponsible as they are. To be honest, I cringe as to what is coming in terms of how high the numbers are going to go this winter. Last winter the numbers went high, and people were actually trying to stay home and be responsible. Since summer, it's been a bloody free for all.
  8. Except it's not nutty. It makes sense to do. Germs are a real thing, as is this virus. Maybe he doesn't understand cross contamination?
  9. bolt, don't feel so bad. I would have done the same thing. Sometimes yelling isn't about being a crazy person, sometimes yelling is speaking louder so the person will understand how important something is to you. Your brother obviously isn't getting it that he needs to wipes things. I mean, it's a pandemic. In order to forgo getting quite sick, there has got to be a certain amount of responsibility. I too am finding it very aggravating how people keep thinking that this virus isn't real, or that there doesn't need to be any guidelines or rules in trying to remain safe. It's natural to get fed up with those who aren't respecting how you're feeling either and if you're concerned about getting sick and he's ignoring that, that's reason alone to yell. If he won't listen and won't respect what you need, then I think all you can do is wipe down on your own and keep your distance from him. But grrrrr, would that ever get on my nerves too!! The bag on the plate would have really grinded me. That's just plain gross as germs still exist whether there's a pandemic, or not.
  10. I agree. I read the news daily, and it's getting more and more grim. I worry about how much longer our planet can sustain itself. It does seem like it's collapsing.
  11. Pippy! Check your messages in messenger. Sending hugs.
  12. I'm so sorry to hear that. I know how that can be. It's really tough. I hope you can find some relief.
  13. Awww, that's good. :) I'm glad to hear that.
  14. Sounds so rough. :( I hope you get better soon. Hey, by the way, did Pippy get a hold of you? I was on the phone with her last week and she was going to contact you.
  15. I'm in the same boat, small but have a hard time keeping weight on. I've had people envy me over that and honestly, they don't know the struggle. It's not always a great thing. I can literally look sick due to being thin. I lose weight at the drop of a hat. In fact, I'm not sure which is worse, someone who doesn't like being overweight, or someone who can't keep weight on and looks sick.
  16. Lololololol. Well, who knows. Hope the pizza was good at least.
  17. Well, not only can that cause a lot of indigestion, but if you did have any kind of hernia, it can irritate things.
  18. Keep on eye on that, Wise....hernia comes to mind when I hear that.
  19. I'm just picturing what my brother got me in the past and yep, same kind of thing, stuff I wouldn't use. Ugh, the mess sounds awful. :(
  20. He probably doesn't know what to buy and so he buys something on the spur of the moment. Maybe request gift cards?
  21. Hang in there, S. Ignore the slight, you're worth far more than that and we all know it.
  22. At first I thought it was an attachment for the back of a bicycle. I thought to myself, "hmm, not sure if that will be safe when taking a corner". lol
  23. That's really neat. I hope the walks turn out to be great. It's nice that little ones get fresh air and the people working in the daycare can get a bit of a break from inside too and get a bit of sun.
