  1. It's a sensation I can't quite explain. It's gross and it's uncomfortable and just plain wrong. I had my baby all naturel too, no meds, no nothing. So I can handle pain. But the nose swab? It's just ick.
  2. Never, ever thought I'd have a giant q-tip up my nose in 2020,......but okay. ps: I do not recommend. 0 out of 5 stars.
  3. Sending positive vibes and calming vibes to you, Seraphim. Focus on the calm. Remember that these feelings are only passing and they won't stay long. You are safe. I hope you can find the peace within and feel better soon.
  4. Thanks, guys. I think the one thing I learnt from it, (if anything)....is that any symptoms of body aches, sore throat, etc is not a reason to be alarmed. There still are lots of flus and cold viruses floating around. And secondly, that even if it were Covid, there is a high recovery rate. ( I think I told myself this a few hundred times while we were waiting for the results and didn't know if it was positive or not). I'm glad everyone is keeping safe and is doing okay.
  5. I felt sick about two weeks ago. I woke up with a sore throat, quite bad body aches and feeling just flu-ish. I didn't panic. I left it a day or two to see how I felt. A few days passed and I felt about the same. Husband was having similar symptoms, so we decided it was time to get tested for Covid. The test was a swab to the nose and it was a gross/odd/weird sensation. But it was done quickly which was good. We had to wait a few days and I was slightly worried but trying to remain positive. They rang today, we did have some type of flu virus, but it wasn't Covid. Part of me was relieved, part of me kind of wished I had actually gotten past Covid and knew that I was healthy enough to deal with it. Not that I actually want it, but seeing as my sickness is on it's way out, it would have been somewhat of a good thing to know I was strong enough to overcome Covid. But at the same time, I am relieved. I am concerned about this new virus as so much is unknown about it. Luckily my sickness has finally passed either way.
  6. Is that on mobile? Cause on laptop, I don't see anything.
  7. I'm sorry you're feeling this way. Depression can be rough. I hope it lifts soon. My area is the same way, no one is taking things seriously anymore and no one is taking precautions like they were. It's aggravating. I can definitely see a second wave happening. Walking is great and a really healthy way to try to get some of the negative feelings out as well as getting fresh air.
  8. Take care, Jibralta. You are doing awesome.
  9. Sending hugs, Heart. In times like this, try to focus on the good things, however small. A beautiful sunset. An act of kindness. The bad times won't last forever.
  10. That's great to hear. I hope the summer is quieter for all of us.
  11. Those were my thoughts too. Ugh, no one seems to care anymore about Covid and have thrown out all sense. Don't get me wrong, I support the cause but Covid is still alive and well. So sorry to hear, Blue. I was wondering just the other day how you were doing. I'm sorry things have not improved. I hope they get better for you though, sooner than you expect. Are you doing okay, Seraphim?
  12. Sounds rough. I've only ever seen the nose one. Do they do something similar and just swab the throat? Sounds gaggish.
  13. Hahahahahahaha. I read that too. Bizarro world.
  14. Yeah, I read more than one article as well that stated there is no herd immunity as someone who already has been infected with the virus, can be re-infected. The problem here is, so much misinformation being spread around, and from some reputable news sources! So who the heck knows what is true and what isn't. I try to keep a close eye on where I get my information from, but even those news sources have taken back statements they previously made. I don't think anything will be able to shut this all down once and for all except for a vaccine.
  15. The farmers market near where I live are now online ONLY. You can browse and purchase online and have someone drop it off at your house but no interaction. It must be paid for beforehand via Paylpal, etransfer or credit card. I cannot believe how careless some places are still being!!
  16. Well that's just it, right? The ones who don't believe it, are yelling the loudest and calling everyone else stupid, etc. Better to just turn off.
  17. Had to do the same. This pandemic has sure shown some different sides to people I have known for years. Some are much more meaner, some are much more dim? For the first few weeks, I tried arguing and explaining. It only got me worn out. So now I have muted and life is happier.
  18. You could always try and see if it works out? I ordered a week before I needed more groceries. They came eventually.
  19. Do you have delivery in your area at all, Heart?
  20. ((((((((((Butterfly))))))))))) I am so sorry for you and yet over the moon for you. You must feel so conflicted. Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl though. I truly am happy/relieved for you.
  21. A certain someone who keeps saying this virus is all fake and that it's only a flu. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! It has to be lack of intelligence, surely.
  22. Butterfly, it will be okay. Thousands of women across the world have c-sections everyday and they are just fine, as are their babies. I know of many women who have had c-sections and it was totally fine. You might have soreness, but that's with natural birth as well. You will have well trained doctors and nurses taking care of you, and making sure you're okay. I know it's hard not to worry, but it will be okay. We read about the stories where things went wrong with Covid, but we don't hear the things that went right. There are still hundreds, thousands of children being born daily and both mother and baby are okay. Try to focus on that, okay? (hugs)
