Can you find another space for now like a mattress on the floor or the sofa? I hope things improve.  I feel for you.

I have slept on the couch but it isn’t that comfy. I am a tummy sleeper and I can’t sleep on my tummy on the couch because of the arm rests. 😓

Might be worth buying or borrowing an air mattress for now!

Praying for you!  I'm sorry for your frustration!

I hope mostly for her sake because she is so frustrated.  But it might stop her talking over people, the same time as people or thinking everyone is talking to her when they aren’t , also my TV is up to 60 so she can hear it and it is making my tinnitus insufferable.

You are a very caring person and daughter.  I agree- and yes 60 is so loud! As I get older I am more and more sensitive to loud -and sudden-sounds.

Oh my goodness I am trying to be sincerely. I know deafness is a disability , my dad was disabled as well with deafness from childhood. Combined with her inability to walk and also see due to cataracts they won’t take off yet it is frustrating for all. She also is very very very unhappy to have such limitations and refuses to accept any of it. But then again who wants to ??!

Dear Jesus, I have no idea how my mom is alive after all the bumbling I have seen lately . She let herself run out of her medications ( 2) of them one of which is for her heart. She had to transfer her pharmacy to here but they don’t transfer medications that have no refills .!Needless to say it is a crap show and she is now waiting on the phone to talk to the doctor to send a prescription to the pharmacy here.

I guess it is invasive too because it is 4 weeks before her new bedroom set comes and she is sleeping with me in my bed.

You are a saint!

I had my mother living with me at the end of her life - she had Alzheimer's.  It was ... challenging and memorable, with a whole lot of memories that my daughter and I laugh and laugh about, to the horror of some of our friends.

Mom was a benign Alzheimer's person - if she were the violent mean type or one who needed lockdown in order to not roam and get in danger, I would not have been able to do it.

@Seraphim  - you sure are an interesting person and I really enjoy the way you write about your life.   Thank you for sharing it.

Thank you so much .

My father-in-law died of dementia and Parkinson’s. Dementia is horrible horrible . I am sorry you had to go through that. My husband’s father was violent and was kept in a hospital.

I don’t believe my mom has dementia more so what I call Princess Syndrome. She had a very very hard life with my dad and did everything so when she married her last husband and he was a very competent person I think she said F it and he can handle things. It got 1000 times worse after she got mobility disabled. She is blaming moving on her pill situation. I said nope not it and you won’t be pulling this crap anymore. I have served and cooked and washed up every single meal and served it to her . Weeeellllll it takes me a long time because I can only stand a minute at a time. We would be eating next Tuesday so I tell her to go sit .

She feels you have to fill silence with talking, nope you don’t , especially in public. I took her to get her hearing aids done and she says , while it is quiet and other people are waiting , “ they are taking a long time and they better not break my hearing aids I paid $5800 for those. “ of course she is loud because she is deaf as a post. I am inwardly cringing and saying , “ mom, Jesus not everyone is deaf the neighborhood can hear you and I am sure they know how to fix hearing aids.”

My husband comes tomorrow for the weekend. Thank Jesus. 🤣🤪

Hahaha omg I think I will cry when her bed comes. Sleeping in the same bed with your parent is not like sleeping with your spouse. It feels like there are no boundaries and it is constant boundary invasion.

I'm unable to sleep with anything on my face, head or ears. I'm glad you're able to. Hope it works.

Hahaha no not for sleep but just to listen to YouTube and get away from my mom’s incessant chatter . 😂

She still doesn’t have her meds and she is now resorting to call a local line for local doctors to get prescriptions. I said mom what did you do before, she said my pharmacist handled everything for me. As I said old lady princess syndrome .
