I can try to help you...I just have to learn Canada’s in and outs.  We had all sorts of restrictions and eligibility stuff.  I found another group.  Let me dig around.  Waitlists in Canada are probably as useless as they are here(I’ve been on waitlists since February, I’m already fully vaccinated and I STILL never heard from a waitlist).  I’ll PM you later on when I figure this out

Bless you thank you sooooo much!!! I could just hug you and cry.

Hahahah no sooner do I get an appointment then I get two emails and texts to book an appointment at 2 different pharmacies. But if Cheetarah hadn’t found me an appointment I would never have got the other notifications because that is how life works . But they said after 12 hours they would move onto the next person. So it’s all good.

You bet your behind!! Even in another country she has some serious research skills!

Aww, thanks!!  My career skills have to stay fine tuned.  Lol.

In all seriousness, the headache of looking for a vaccine was very taxing here.  We just arrived at a point yesterday where they have a walk in clinic, no appointments necessary.  Of course, no one wanted to wait months for that kind of ease...I know I didn’t.  But I do believe the rollout will get better there eventually just like it is here.

Then it becomes a matter of vaccine hesitancy...which we are starting to see here in the US.  Ugh.

Hahaha I got texts and emails last night from other pharmacies to book appointments. 🙄Figures. But if you hadn’t found me the appointment nobody would’ve text or emailed me. But at least some of the wait lists are now going ahead.

Hopefully it gets better. Here it is now younger people getting sick and dying. Two 30 somethings have died in my area . One of them my friend J used to look after her child. She was only 35 years old.

I am super pumped to get vaccinated in less than 24 hours .

I have a dental appointment today, my first one since the pandemic started. Just for a cleaning . I know my molars are a wreck and need rebuilding . I hate dental appointments so damned much . Right now my anxiety is about a six and it should blow through the roof when I’m there. I mean I know it’s just a cleaning I’m not going to be massacred  I’m perfectly safe but I just can’t get it out of my head.

That’s how it goes!  At least you know there are 2 people somewhere who will get those appointments.

Yes, here as well.  Our elderly are 80% vaccinated with at least one dose.  So we are seeing more 20s/30s/40s etc dying.  My eye doctor, actually(he’s not dead just to clarify)..I’m not entirely sure of his age, perhaps 50?  I have been seeing him since I was 12 years old and he was straight out of optometry school...I called the office like 2 months ago for an appointment and it said it was closed due to the pandemic.

I thought that was weird because 2 months ago we were in decent shape.  So once a week I’d call to see if the message changed and one day he picked up the phone.  Apparently he had COVID and was hospitalized.  Had to close the office for about 3 months.  He was super breathy, said he had a pulmonary embolism, now has to see a neurologist for post Covid memory issues...he also had a stroke.  While he is (or was....) a well controlled diabetic he is in good shape and leads a healthy lifestyle.  He says he has no idea specifically where he got it, but being an eye doctor up close in peoples faces even with masks on, I can see how it would easily happen.

He said he couldn’t stay home anymore.  For both financial reasons and because he needs to move around (he’s probably going to be on blood thinners the rest of his life).  I pushed out my appointment until next month and twice already he’s had to reschedule me because he has so many various specialist appointments.

I don’t know why stories like these aren’t more alarming to people.  And that’s only just one experience I know of, there are more and some are worse.  Why would you(general you) want to roll the dice...I don’t understand it.

Anyhow, enough of this.  Happy Vaccine Eve!!  Make sure you get stuff to stay hydrated, have some Tylenol or whatever otc painkiller/fever reducer is safest with your type of vaccine, and rest up this weekend!  Whenever I felt crappy I just told myself my body was being the machine it was designed to be.  The pains had a purpose.  It really helps too, with anxiety.

Tomorrow morning when they put that needle in I will be thanking you for sure!
Someone I know who got the shot two days ago is rolling about in bed with headache and body aches since about 12 hours later. But that’s just the body making antibodies. I might get nothing because I’ve never reacted to a vaccine in my life but you never know.

And  you’re right I am happy that to other people will get the appointments that they need.

My son on the other hand thinks I’m drinking the Kool-Aid and is pleading with me not to do it. He said one day they’re going to flip the Killswitch and we’re all going to die. A sign of the world take over, a mark of the Beast .

I can’t say there isn’t funky crap going on , but...,

and he said he won’t be vaccinated and I can’t make him.

LOL well...this virus in general is extremely funky.  Don’t get me wrong, I think about how we’re all pretty much almost the phase 4 of clinical trials.  But I also know if I got sick there’s a very good chance I’d be hospitalized, at best.  I’m not willing to take that risk.

And if say, there really is a microchip in there 😂😂, go ahead.  You can watch me eat chips and go to target.  I’m fine with that.

My dental appointment cleaning/check up went really well. I got the really compassionate hygienist thank God. No problems except for a tiny tiny cavity starting on one of my top front teeth they will do the filling on next Thursday. She checked all my back molars and said they are fine just keep wearing my night guard. And she will repair the tiny decay spot and then I’m fine until October.

I spent the entire night rolling around dying. The chills were so bad I couldn’t stop shaking so I had to get in a hot tub of water. The nausea was unbelievable I had to keep completely and utterly still or I thought I was going to vomit all over the place. Then after the chills subsided the headache and fever came. The whole night was a right off. I am also very weak.

I guess apparently my body is mounting quite the defence. Right  now I’m a bit better Hubby got me a piece of toast and one of my Gatorade zeros. I think I’m just going to spend the day in bed cuddling my cats.

It really makes you think if you want to do this again. But of course I will get the second shot.
