Jimmy Jon
Will try to get to the point. I visited one of these "breastaurants" a month ago. More of an upscale one if there is such a thing. I usually never visit but I remembered they had a nice patio. I like the relaxed atmosphere. I always do my stuff alone anymore but I socialize and started talking to a couple there soon after arriving. A waitress came out and got my drinks going. She became very talkative and touchy. We exchanged names and such. End of the night she brought my bill and I forgot to put my card out. She came back and I apologized and tried to give her my card and she refused and wadded up the bill and told me not to worry about it, gave me a hug, I told her she was very sweet, end. I have went there a few times now. I never ask for her but she has sought me out, lots of hugs, pinches, touching, telling me I am sexy, even told me where she lives, and came out at end of one of her shifts and did her paperwork at my table while we talked. I do realize these places cater to "flirtatious behavior" so trying not to get in my head about it. I would not say she is the hottest woman there, but she seems very nice. Because of the type of place, I am not about to ask for her number, ask her out, etc. I am sure she gets that 100x/day. But if there are any woman around that have worked in this industry, is this behavior typical? Entirely possible she is just 'really' good at her job and trying to build her 'regular' customer base. But on the off chance, I don't want to blow her off. The way I look at it, because of where she works, she should make any interest more obvious? Link to comment
Rose Mosse
You have to overcome your fear of rejection. Going to a breastaurant, whatever that is or implies, is no different from chatting up a cashier or barista at a local coffee bar. You are just a paying customer hitting on the staff. She probably won't be rude to you because you're a customer but you're fooling no one about what your intentions are so without further ado just ask her out if you want to ask her out and stop being so afraid. Batya33
I think she would welcome you asking her out but my sense is either she'd be going for the free meal/wined and dined or may offer a paid escort type arrangement. For all you know her boss wants her to comp certain customers and then he gets a cut of whatever she charges "on the side". I'd try to meet women available for dating in situations where they are not trying to get $ in the form of tips based on their physical features since there's only a remote possibility she wants to get to know you as a person for a potential romantic relationship. Jimmy Jon
Since some think I am being disingenuous, my dog is with me nearly 24/7. This is literally the only place I know of on my side of town that is 100% cool with my dog. Even brings her a water bowl. I am actually trying to find another place so I don't become such a 'regular' at this one. There is another place downtown that is super dog friendly but just too far away. 1 Link to comment
DancingFool
....Dude, she picked up your meal. She is trying so hard and hitting on you sooo hard. For the love of, stop being so dense and ask her for a date already. If you keep dragging your feet, yeah, she will give up and move on. So sooner rather than later, ok? On a side note, yes waitresses may be flirty sometimes, but not to this extreme. She IS hitting on you so hard that the only thing left is for her to put a flashing neon sign in your face telling you she likes you and wants a date. *flash flash* ask me out *flash flash* Come on guy.....lol...... 3 1 Link to comment

"Breastaurants are restaurants that require female waiting staff to be skimpily-dressed. The term dates from the early 1990s, after restaurant chain Hooters opened in the United States. The format has since been adopted by other restaurants, including Redneck Heaven, Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery, Twin Peaks, Bombshells, Bone Daddy's, Ojos Locos, Chula's, Bikinis Sports Bar & Grill, Racks, Show-Me's, Mugs & Jugs, and The WingHouse Bar & Grill. These restaurants often use a sexual double-entendre brand name and may also have appropriate themes, both in decoration and menu. The restaurants may offer perks for customers, such as alcohol and flirty servers" Not as sleazy as strip clubs, not as classy as the former playboy clubs. Sort of beer and boobs for big tips. 2 Link to comment
MissCanuck
Thanks, @Wiseman2. These do not exist in the part of the world where I live. Been away from the homeland too long, apparently! Link to comment
boltnrun
OMG "Mugs & Jugs"! LOL Yeah, those young ladies are angling for big tips. They "comp" certain regular customers one time and presto! You're hooked! It just proves their marketing and "customer service" strategies work brilliantly. 1 Link to comment
LaHermes
We've had those topless places here for decades. Lol. Link to comment

I don't know where "here" is, but certainly not common where I come from. Hooters is literally the only one. And where I live now, there is no such thing at all. Hence me asking what the term means! Never heard it before. Link to comment

LaHermes
Well, certainly in the U.K. for as long as I can remember. I was in one for the first time when I was a student working a holiday job in London. And that wasn't yesterday lol. And fairly common in continental countries. Certainly maybe not in every little town but in the cities for sure. Mind you I only today learned that word "breastaurant" from OP. Lol. Geeze it gives the term a milkshake bar a whole new meaning .🤠 Oh, (I think) topless was here possibly long before it was commonplace in the U.S.A. Mind you, I have yet to visit a venue where there are nice young guys "shirtless". heh heh. But I expect they do exist. Link to comment
boltnrun
I live in the US and I've never seen a topless restaurant. Scantily clad, yes. Topless, no. Unless it's a strip club where you get to pay $30 for a day old pizza or some gummy wings. Allegedly Hooters has excellent wings. But their waitresses wear tops. Tiny tops, but tops nonetheless. 1 Link to comment

I am not sure if you frequent these types of places or not. I would not say I seek them out but sometimes tag along with guy friends. I think this one girl just threw me a bit and I am not easy to rattle. More of the 'sweet' type than ***ty IMO, but all in proper context. I'd probably be a bit more forward with her if not for this type of place. Link to comment

Besides Hooters there are many other places, bigger chains like High Peaks (yup ... really) and some hole in the wall types. Think of it more like a sports bar that serves wings, a loooong list of all kinds of beers, walls covered with TV's showing all kinds of sports and scantily clad wait staff. Not being a stranger to all that, I'll just say again, that yes sure the wait staff flirt (men and women accordingly) but not normally to this extent. There tends to be a distinct difference between flirting to get some tips and stepping over the line looking for more. So, to the OP, yes she is fishing for more than just a tip. Wake up and step up....or not....as you wish. Just don't drag it out for another month or two and then go, "well gee I tried and she said she has a bf"...no duh. Don't be too late the party if you actually want to party. 1 Link to comment
LaHermes
No, Bolt. Not strip clubs. Just bars where the barmaids/waitresses are topless. Come on over and I'll take you to one for a drink. 😁 Have never been to a strip club (female strippers), but yes, many years ago to a club where a guy and a girl (naked performers) well, more or less "did it" there on the floor. The places I've been and the things I've seen. 😎 Link to comment
