For diabetics: a good fasting glucose: 4-7mmol

2 hours after a meal : 8mmol<
random: 8.5mmol<

 

As you can see I am doing drastically better.

Just have to get my fasting glucose down a bit . I could be 6.4 on my next A1C. Back into The pre diabetes range. Then he won’t increase my dosage . I really couldn’t take an increase.

I am starting to feel a lot better . The side effects are getting better. The only remaining one is the tinnitus.

I was inside the target zone this morning. And it’s strange both mornings I was inside the target zone. I’ve had a small amount of spaghetti for supper. I was 6.5 this morning.

I also have lost 2 kg.

So , my doctor is taking me off this medication even though the Januvia protects the heart and kidneys. He is putting me on straight metformin and he says the tinnitus should stop in a few days. He said, depending upon my A1C if it isn’t down enough, he might have to put me on Ozempic or Invokana.

I hope the tinnitus stops. My doctor said he thinks it should stop in a few days. I really hope so. I don’t want yet ANOTHER medication to fix an issue caused by previous medication.

My two hour check was 5.9 mmol.

I am so very very happy the tinnitus is going. It is very very faint now and at times disappears altogether. Very very faint now . Thank God!

Tomorrow is my first blood draw since starting medication.

My A1C was down to 6.8.

My tinnitus is at a tolerable level. It is the same level every day now .
