Jibralta
Vast Touched I remember listening to this song in my car, door open, legs out the side, smoking a cigarette. I had just had an argument with a boyfriend. He was gone. It was nighttime and there was a major thunderstorm going on, thunder crashing and lightening flashing. Everything went together so well: the music, the storm, my emotion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=491xiXyyCNs Link to comment
imsuperman
^ I've had that song for years and years. I liked it because it was in a tv trailer. Nirvana - Scentless Apprentice Link to comment

Jibralta
Holy cow, I can't believe they're on season 10 (or is it season 20 by now?? lol) Anyhoo, I never watch CSI or any of the various permutations of that show. No wonder I didn't know that this song was a theme song. Link to comment
ApocalypseDreams
^I've always just associated that song with the movie The Beach. I saw Tool on their Lateralus tour back in 2002 and they played this song. It was probably aided by the drugs I had ingested, but it was probably the closest thing I've had to a spiritual experience. Jibralta
I heard this cover a couple of months ago, in a commercial. I tried to find out who sang it. I searched every cover of America, but searches came up empty. The other night, while clicking around on Tiny Desk Concerts, I clicked on First Aid Kit. The moment I heard those two voices, I knew I had my artist. And here it is, First Aid Kit's rendition of America, better even than Simon and Garfunkel, in my opinion. Link to comment
