Excuse my ignorance but a question for the women is anal sex more popular these days? does it really feel that good? I've had opportunities in the past to do it but I haven't as I thought it is pretty dirty personally, even though I'm still curious what it would be like compared to vaginal. Link to comment

Seems every other porn 'escapade' has some anal thrown in. Now with that being said, back when i was 18 and had my first sexual experience (and i was his) we tried everything...including anal. Didn't like it....geez...hurt. I think i tried it twice. I guess everyone can get use to it....but why bother when there are places that are much more pleasurable, and less PAIN! lol I am now pushing 60.....and i know a LOT of women my age that don't even give ORAL because it is 'dirty'. I can't imagine my grandparents doing anal!!! lol I think people in this day and age are much more sexually aware of different styles of sex...foreplay....fetishes....etc. than they were back in my day. I do think it's the prevalence of Porn sites! (also caused the shaving of all private areas!!! ) Doesn't make it 'bad' or 'dirty'. Just make sure you're clean....but it's not everyone's cup of tea. I've watched my fair share of porn over the years but I still haven't got any more desire to do it apart from the curiosity factor. My gf said on both occasions it wasn't her idea but the guy's, and I know she has seen very little in the way of porn too. She also said that she actually enjoyed it too. Now the pain I wouldn't know about but she feels tight vaginally, and I'm not huge by any means but not small either so I've always thought it wouldn't be comfortable for me either! Link to comment

I think we know about it more simply because now people are more open about sex in general. You try it if you want to. If you feel uncomfortable with it - you don't try it, simple as that. Well I've only had it about 2-3 times due to the fact that I HATE it. I find it extremely painful and uncomfortable and the lubricant up your bum makes you feel like you have diarrhoea. Sorry to be gross! However I've heard it feels nice for the male because the bum hole is really tight. Anyway I think it's gross and even hate to see it on porn. But to each their own Link to comment

Some people explore this alternative to avoid pregnancy. Some people enjoy the sensation. I've never associated it with porn, only with individual preferences. I suppose it's tried more given the amount of porn that features it these days--you know, the whole monkey see, monkey do kind of thing. Good point Reality Nut. Sexual preferences are a lot like food, you can try something and see if you like it. If you do you add it to the menu and if you don't then it's off the table for good. I will say this though, keep in mind it's never as clean and pretty as the porn videos make it all look. Kind of the same principle as how in the movies cops can blast away an entire arsenal at a bad guy and he never gets hit. And no for a woman it's usually not that comfortable, the body isn't really designed with that in mind. Link to comment

Like with perhaps all things physical, it just depends. In any event, OP, I understand your surprise because of the taboo, and I hope ENA has helped you broaden your horizons. I know people who had anal sex in high school 35 years ago, and people who swing and do all kinds of crazy things, but don't do that. There is no judging it. It just is, like anything else. The greeks two milleniums back practised it shamelessly. It's up to the lady to decide, if she's not into that at all, you have to accept it. Very few of my exes liked it, not a big deal. I've tried it maybe about 6 times. Maybe it has to do with your current state of mind; but I initially wasn't bothered by it (and in fact quite liked it); but after a few times, just didn't care for it anymore. I think the rush of doing something new is what made me like it, but then after a few times, I just decided I didn't prefer it. I think it also has to do with what you're willing to do for you partner's happiness. I know some men that don't really care for the giving of oral, but do it anyway because their girl likes it. Just as I may consider doing anal again every once in awhile for a man I loved, if I knew he really enjoyed it. Link to comment

It's funny that I stumbled accross this topic today....I feel it has been a hot conversation button between my boyfriend and I recently...I have had anal sex in the past with 2 different partners...and hated it! I found it uncomfortable and painful and I have not tried again in like 3-4 years. My current boyfriend has wanted to have anal sex (we have a really healthy and awesome sex life) but I keep telling him I don't want to. It is not something I want to do again and our normal sex is great! I guess it all depends on what you are interested in....I don't have a lot of sexual partners, but felt compelled to try that at the time. Never again! (at least not now) Link to comment

While it wasn't horribly unpleasant, it definitely isn't my favourite thing ever. I think my husband was curious about it because he hasn't really asked to do it again lol. I do know that in order for it to be even remotely pleasurable, a LOT of lube needs to be used. And if you want to avoid UTIs and whatnot, use a condom then take it off before putting 'it' anywhere else lol Link to comment

That's probably why I brought it up with her and not many other past sexual partners. I guess I was under the false assumption she hadn't before, so it was more a novelty/thrill idea for me and so now that I found this out, that was quickly obliterated. I know it seems selfish. I really enjoy satisfying her though and so if in the future she wants it 'in there' then I probably will for her. I just don't understand why so many guys want to do it. Link to comment
