Vicky89
I have been blonde all my life and just recently, dyed it a very dark auburn color, it's almost black but my eyes are blue so it matches well. Anywho. I have gotten a lot of stares when I go out from guys now, it happens anywhere, filling up the tank with gas, grocery shopping, gym. I didn't notice this previously when I was blonde. Capricorn3
I think it's just a matter of different people, different taste. Some love the colour blue, others hate it. Some love Chinese food, others hate it. Some people prefer blondes, others prefer brunette. Basically, who cares? Different taste. Different preference. Really doesn't matter. Careerchoice
Of course it makes a difference. And different shades will work on different girls to attract different guys. I remember one girl (she's a porn star... lol) who went from brunette to blonde. She instantly became not hot to me. She went back and became hot again. rosephase
It might be that you feel different are so are noticing the attention more. It could be that you feel different so you are holding yourself in more confident way and that more people find -that- attractive. It could be that this color really suits you. Lots of things effect who we notice and who notices us.
chitown9
I think that the new color probably suits you better than blonde. chi
RainyCoast
that sounds very pretty. i think it's probably your striking eye color that pops up more in contrast to the dark hair that looks attractive. mine are very green, and i think the color is less obvious when i go with lighter hair colors, because whenever i dye it a dark brown, i start getting these are you wearing contacts questions, that i don't get otherwise. since i have started graying, i have been thinking about a balayage to somehow mask the grays in the highlights. while every woman in my friends' group said that was a great idea , the guys went noooo and said if anything to get blunt bangs so the eyes pop up even more. i think i'll go with the balayage in the autumn, and no bangs. lol. if you really prefer lighter colors on your hair, you can grow out your brows if you haven't yet, and shape them really well so that you still draw attention to your eyes. j.man
Are you telling me that you don't know women who melt at the sight of a man with black / dark brown hair and bright blue eyes? I think cross-gender, we have similar tendencies when it comes to preferences. Hair color may matter more to men because it's largely women who are grow a lot of it nowadays. Titanll
Personally, hair color means nothing to me. For you, it could be that you're a little more attentive since the change, you may have a little more confidence that's noticeable, or you're just smoking hot and the hair color change has pushed you into some otherwordly level of hotness...enjoy! abitbroken
Maybe your hair color flatters your skin tone, eyes better and that is what people notice. They could also have seen you before and totally different hair makes them do a double take Confidence plays a big part, though
Michael832
For me at least hair color doesn't matter much, at least for natural colors. Blonde, brown, black, and even natural red I really have no preference. Now if your hair is pink or blue, then it stands out more, but that just says you have a different personality, which isn't a bad thing.
