dangoodwin
Hey guys, I am 18 and I have never been in a relationship, but I have been speaking to this girl online on this BDSM dating site (yes I know it is weird, but that is what I am into so get over it lol) for about a month now. And I am starting to get the feeling she is catfishing me! With this dating site, you have to pay for the messages and they arent cheap. Would she still catfish me if she is wasting money of her own too?? I do not want to make it suspicious to her as she is amazing and the fittest girl I have spoken to (I dont get along with that many girls unfortuantly lol). So if she is real, I don't want to blow it! Here are the signs which make me suspicious: 1) She only has one photo uploaded. I have asked her for more but she said she is too fussy with photos (but I suspect that is a lie) 2) She does not give out any other details other than what is on her profile already - ie. place of work, facebook, mobile number, email address, skype, surname or full name 3) Her first message to me was saying that I am near her, but in fact I live about an hour away from where she says she live 4) She is kind of too good to be true - I don't normally get in a relationship with this kind of girl (sadly) 5) Everytime I ask her to meet (even in a BDSM way), she keeps stalling and says she is not ready yet She has always said she really cares about me and she always thinks of me. But is she getting me to think this for her entertainment? Are the above just a coincidence or is this genuinely a catfish? Thanks, Dan Link to comment
pippy longstocking
catfish ... don't waste your money Link to comment
agent1607307371
Catfish or not, if you're looking to meet people and she doesn't, then she's not compatible with you. Link to comment
Tanzi
Agree with Star and agent. Whatever this is, it's causing you more anguish then pleasure and I'm sure that's not what you joined the site for! So, no, I wouldn't waste my time and money on trying to find out. Link to comment
mhowe
Sadly...as a person who hasn't any relationship experience you are ripe pickings for a catfish. Link to comment
simply
These types of websites make money off of unsuspecting clients(you being a prime example). Have you ever considered the possibility that she is actually employed by this company and is payed a commission on how long she can string her "clients" along? The more you message her(i.e. the more you spend), the more money she makes. Avoid this scheme. Link to comment
shellyf62
This is maybe a silly question, but why are you still paying to send her messages on this site when her mobile number is listed? Wouldn't it be cheaper to text? And I agree with everyone else, she seems too good to be true!! Link to comment
Xylitol
You could set an ultimatum to see if she is a catfish, either she dates you next weekend or you say goodbye forever. But better not waste your money and just say goodbye. Link to comment

dangoodwin
This website lets you buy credits. 90 messages for £X (not saying how much). I got about 10 left, I have asked her again if she is ready to meet yet, if she replies no or something similar, I will give up on her! Link to comment
dangoodwin
i meant that other than the details already on her profile, she isnt giving out any other details. There is nothing on her profile in fact haha, and I listed examples of stuff that she is not giving out, until we have met Link to comment
bulletproof
With this dating site, you have to pay for the messages and they arent cheap. Would she still catfish me if she is wasting money of her own too?? Perhaps she isn't wasting money. Perhaps it's set up by the site so they can get your money. Link to comment
Willywagtail
Naw, it's a scam. It has scam written all over it. You're just throwing good money away. Link to comment
agent1607307371
Why are you on a site that charges you to send messages? There are plenty out there that don't. That the site makes money this way does make me wonder, as has been said, if she's not just a sex-chat worker for the site. Link to comment
annie24
You should find a dating site that charges per month (or is free) so that you don't have a per message charge. BDSM site or not, if you ask someone to meet you, and they waffle, forget them and move on. Link to comment
summerday89
Sounds like she's stringing you along. I agree with everyone else, I'd drop contact and move on. Link to comment
relevart
The first thing I would suggest is to do a reverse Google image search on her picture. The next thing I would suggest is that regardless of what that search turns up, if anything, to stop paying this web site and get out and meet real (i.e. non catfish) women. Link to comment
No1
Have you ever thought that you are talking to a man pretending to be a woman? If you have no proof otherwise and being strung along and "not ready" to meet you. You are talking to a man. Link to comment
