treeclimb
There is perfume, then aftershave, then deodorant. Which do you like a guy to wear? Do you like a strong scent or a subtle scent? I'm male and I think some of the mens deodorant scents are pretty gross. Do you? Or are they a real turn on for girls? Link to comment
civilservant
Roll on deodorant, then maybe aftershave depending in what I'm going. Never at work though. Personally I think some of the scents are horrible, but I have a couple of favourites. Link to comment
OptomisticGirl
Not strong, it'll kick my allergies into high gear. Something subtle but still with a smell. I personally like the natural musky smell without cologne but that's me. Link to comment
dragon lady
No, I can't stand it. It makes me sneeze and 99.9% of it smells terrible. I prefer unscented roll-on antiperspirant. It stops that awful BO stench, but it doesn't drown out the natural scent. If only my boyfriend understood how much I'd prefer this... Link to comment
petite
I love perfumes on guys! I love perfumes period. Last night I had a whiff of Ermenegildo Zegna Essanza Di Zegna - and it's delicious. Find your signature scent and go with it. Most Bvlgari scents are yummy, Jean Paul Gaultier also a really nice scent. Dolce & Gabbana make some nice male perfumes, Clinique happy is decent, Chanel Allure, Dior Homme. Those are just some I like on men. Link to comment

petite
Don't cover yourself in perfume, there is nothing worse than walking past someone who is drenched. Go to a perfume counter and take some testers home or even ask if they have small testers you can take home . You don't need to cover your clothes in perfume. Fragrances react with heat, so apply your cologne to pulse points such as the folds in the crook of your elbow and back of knees, wrist, base of the throat, back of the neck and cleavage Not too much and not too little. you will find some scents wear off as the day goes on and others are very long lasting. Eau du parfum are the strongest smelling among all the men's perfumes around. It contains as much as 14% of natural extracts and fragrance oils. Those in the Eau de Toilette are lighter smelling than the Eau du parfum. Eau de Cologne is the lightest type of perfume there is. The heaviness or the lightness of a perfume depends on how much essential oils there are. If you're worried about too much, get Eau de Cologne or Eau de Toilette, I'm sure not many guys actually buy Eau du parfum as it is quite strong and also the cost associated with it. Link to comment
treeclimb
thanks Petite and others. i wonder if you can just use essential oils. Link to comment
petite
Sure, you can use essential oils if you prefer. Take my advice go buy Jean Paul Gaultier or test it at the counter and if you like it get it. I haven't met a guy yet who didn't like this Eau de Toilette. If you find the price is a too high for you, opt out for a Bvlgari, as they tend to be cheaper. I'm sure you wont be disappointed. Capricorn3
No. Perfume or any strong sickly scents on a guy (or girl) is horrible, lol. I don't like it at all. If they have to use something then as subtle as possible, but preferably just natural. Less is more. Link to comment
In the Dark
And at one stage Brut 33, Old Spice and Blue Stratos were something guys wore.... Thankfully barely any men wear it now. Whenever someone wears too much cologne it makes me think they have not showered. So when elderly women come walking into work smelling like they have bathed in some bargain perfume bought from the bin inn, I shudder. Link to comment
kenshinkitten
Please at least wear deodorant, other than that nothing else for me. I like the natural scent of my guy, also if you have some sort of hair product that smells that's ok sometimes too. When my boyfriend and I started dating in high school he had this hair product he would wear, it had a very distinct smell (in a good way). He doesn't wear it anymore but sometimes I'll smell it, like someone walks by that is wearing it and it just triggers my memory of him and I get instantly turned on. Link to comment
Jd1983
I love it when my bf puts on cologne, and aftershave. Deodorant is a must, but the others are just a plus. Link to comment
Cognitive_Canine
I love Old Spice deodorant. I think it makes him smell great. I also love his aftershave smell and cologne. While I don't want to be drowning in his cologne all night, a spritz or two is enough. I love it when I climb into his car or him into mine, and his smell just surrounds me. Smells like home. I get that too with both products and his natural smell. My ears perk up and then I get sadly disappointed when I realize it's not him. I spend the rest of that time horny and sniffing around to get another fix. Link to comment
In the Dark
What is the natural smell of a male? Coming from a women's point of view? Link to comment
Cognitive_Canine
What is the natural smell of a male? Coming from a women's point of view? They all smell different. It takes a long time of hanging around them to finally notice their smell too. My guy smells rather nautical. Like a salty sea breeze just entered the room. Link to comment
In the Dark
Nautical? 0_o Okay some of us smell like sea salt. Interesting..... Link to comment
g84
I'm pretty sensitive to a lot of perfumes, so a fresh deodorant scent and/or a mild after-shave / cologne would be okay for me. Link to comment
Springs
There is nothing more sexy than a man who smells good Link to comment
FathomFear
Perfume/cologne is fine is small doses. And that goes for anyone, male or female, IMO. As far as men's cologne goes, Burberry London gets my vote. Link to comment
afrodite79
My favorite is a guy who just showered. I love the way a guy smells when he's just showered and clean. A little cologne or aftershave is okay though. Just enough where the girl can smell it when she gives you a hug. There's a guy at work who wears so much cologne that you can still smell it 10 minutes after he walks past. That's way too much. Link to comment
peanutbutterandjelly
this guy I know smells soooooo good, I have no idea what he's wearing though. i never thought i was big on guys wearing that kinda stuff, but he just smells so yummy and now im changing my mind. Link to comment
Puddincup
The guy I'm dating wears unscented deodorant. I tried it myself but I guess I'm too stinky because it didn't work for me. He also wears "Sexy Boy" which smells so good. I like it so much, I bought it and wear it myself sometimes! Link to comment
