SuperDave71
This one is my favorite: Brian McKnight - One Last Cry My shattered dreams and broken heart Are mending on the shelf I saw you holding hands, standing close to someone else Now I sit all alone wishing all my feeling was gone I gave my best to you, nothing for me to do But have one last cry Chorus: One last cry, before I leave it all behind I’ve gotta put you outta my mind this time Stop living a lie I guess I’m down to my last cry Cry...... I was here, you were there Guess we never could agree While the sun shines on you I need some love to rain on me Still I sit all alone, wishing all my feeling was gone Gotta get over you, nothing for me to do But have one last cry Chorus: One last cry, before I leave it all behind I’ve gotta put you outta my mind this time Stop living a lie I know I gotta be strong Cause round me life goes on and on and on And on..... I’m gonna dry my eyes Right after I had my One last cry Chorus: One last cry, before I leave it all behind I’ve gotta put you outta my mind for the very last time Been living a lie I guess I’m down I guess I’m down I guess I’m down... To my last cry... -SuperDave71 Link to comment
friscodj
Break up songs? "Kickstart My Heart" and "Wild Side" by Motley Crue. They get me fired up to go out and do something better than sitting around wallowing in broken hearts and shattered dreams... Link to comment
need2bme
One More Day - Diamond Rio I Swear - All 4 One Hey Frisco, your post made me think of something. I too felt that sometimes I somehow needed to just ball up and cry, to get things released. Part of me actually WANTED to do this. I wonder why that is... Link to comment
friscodj
Hey Frisco, your post made me think of something. I too felt that sometimes I somehow needed to just ball up and cry, to get things released. Part of me actually WANTED to do this. I wonder why that is... The only analogy I can think of is the crying is like throwing up when you are sick...your body needs to get it out...and you feel better afterwards... Link to comment

dwbh
Lauryn Hill - Ex Factor It could all be so simple But you'd rather make it hard Loving you is like a battle And we both end up with scars Tell me, who I have to be To get some reciprocity No one loves you more than me And no one ever will Is this just a silly game That forces you to act this way Forces you to scream my name Then pretend that you can't stay Tell me, who I have to be To get some reciprocity No one loves you more than me And no one ever will [Hook No matter how I think we grow You always seem to let me know It ain't workin' It ain't workin' And when I try to walk away You'd hurt yourself to make me stay This is crazy This is crazy I keep letting you back in How can I explain myself As painful as this thing has been I just can't be with no one else See I know what we got to do You let go and I'll let go too 'Cause no one's hurt me more than you And no one ever will Link to comment

lvlyldy
This song has helped me lately- everytime I get the urge to try to contact my ex, I listen to this.... OH and Dont Wanna Try- Frankie J Karma- Alicia Keys Weren't you the one that said, that you don't want me anymore. And how you need your space, and give the keys back to your door. And how I cried and tried and tried to make you stay with me. But still you said that love was gone, and that I had to leave. Now you, talkin bout a family Now you, sayin I complete your dream Now you, sayin I'm your everything You confusin me What you say to me Don't play with me Don't play with me. Cause what goes around, comes around. What goes up, must come down. Now who's cryin, desirin to come back to me What goes around, comes around. What goes up, must come down. Now who's cryin, desirin to come back I remember when I was sittin home alone Waitin for you Til 3 o'clock in the morn And when you came home, you'd always have some sorry excuse. And explainin to me, like I'm just some kinda fool I sacrifice the things I want to and do things for you But when it's time to do for me, you never come through Now you, wanna be a bond of me (eyyy) Now you, have so much to say to me (heyy) Now you, wanna make time for me What you do to me. You confusin me Don't play with me Don't play with me. Cause what goes around, comes around. What goes up, must come down. Now who's cryin, desirin to come back to me What goes around, comes around. What goes up, must come down. Now who's cryin, desirin to come back I remember when I was sittin home alone Waitin for you Til 3 o'clock in the morn Night after night Knowin sumthing goin on Wasn't home befo me You was,you was gone Lord knows it wasn't easy, but believe me. Never thought you'd be the one that would deceived me. And never do wha u was supposed to do No need to hose me fool, cause I'm ova you Cause what goes around, comes around. What goes up, must come down. Now who's cryin, desirin to come back to me What goes around, comes around. What goes up, must come down. Gotta stop tryin, to come back to me What goes around, comes around. What goes up, must come down. It's called Karma baby. And it goes around. What goes around, comes around, What goes up, must comes down, Now who's cryin, desirin to come back to me Link to comment
Daddy Bear
not long ago i posted what i consider to be two of the best songs to help girls get over a breakup: (illegal download reference removed) so, in the interest of balance and fair play, here are two for the guys: "Down With The Sickness" - Disturbed "I F------ Hate You" - SOAD um, i don't think i should post the lyrics from these... StephenP59
This is a good one Rilo Kiley - A Better Son/Daughter makes me feel better: Sometimes in the morning I am petrified and can't move. Awake, but cannot open my eyes. And the weight is crushing down on my lungs, I know I can't breath. And hope someone will save me this time. And your mother's still calling you insane and high Swearing it's different this time. And you tell her to give in to the demons that possess her And that God never blessed her insides. Then you hang up the phone and feel badly for upsetting Things and crawl back into bed to dream of a time When your heart was open wide and you loved things just because Like the sick and the dying. And sometimes when you're on, you're really f**king on And your friends they sing along and they love you. But the lows are so extreme that the good seems f**king cheap And it teases you for weeks in its absense. But you'll fight and you'll make it through You'll fake it if you have to and you'll show up to work with a smile You'll be better and you'll be smarter and more grown up And a better daughter or son and a real good friend And you'll be awake, you'll be alert, you'll be positive though it hurts And you'll laugh and embrace all your friends You'll be a real good listener, you'll be honest, you'll be brave You'll be handsome and you'll be beautiful. You'll be happy. Your ship may be coming in. You're weak, but not giving in To the cries and the wails of the valley below. And your ship may be coming in. You're weak, but not giving in. And you'll fight it, you'll go out fighting all of them. Link to comment
