My 14 year old cat has kidney failure

Hi,

 

We got Emma in 2009 at one year of age. She’s enlightened our lives so much! She’s given us so much unconditional love. She’s been by far the most favorite pet I’ve ever owned!

 

Shes stopped eating, drinking, and peeing.

 

we found out she’s in kidney failure. I just am asking for thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry.

I went through that with my senior kitty last fall. It's so very difficult and heartbreaking.

Do you know what stage? I had a kitty that was in stage 2 and could have been managed by diet but he also had a life long virus from being a stray and diabetes. It was all too much .

Unfortunately she’s at end stage  acute renal failure. Most likely we’ll be having her put to sleep. We’re trying ivy fluids to see if it will help somewhat.

I am so very sorry. It is so difficult to put down a beloved fur baby.

Today we’re taking her in to be put to sleep. She’s in a lot of pain and can’t walk.

I'm so sorry, but you are doing the kindest and best thing for your beloved kitty.

She does know how much you love her.

I know it's heartbreaking.  But my vet told me my kitty would be waiting for me on the other side when it's my time.  Strangely, that gave me comfort.
