  1. How have you been doing with IRL where you live?
  2. With the swiping ones, the one that stands out is that they show you who had already swiped right on you. Other ones included priority placement with your profile showing on top in addition to unlimited super likes. I believe the average is around $30 for those.
  3. For those of you who have used apps such as Hinge or Bumble, did going with the premium features make a difference for you? Personally I have just gone with the free account.
  4. Have you tried a site called 7 Cups? It’s free and there are listeners there ready to talk with you any time you need someone to talk to. Hang in there! https://www.7cups.com/
  5. Looks like you have a great taste in gaming! I have a PS4 as well which is my go-to (you can look me me up at beatlesfaninaz on PSN if you'd like). Then I also have a 3 and a 2 which aren't hooked up right now. Had the original at one time too but sold that one with the 2 being backwards compatible. Along with a 360 (hooked up), Genesis, SNES, Saturn, and NES. I'm also in no rush for a PS5. Don't want to touch my current set up and I don't have a 4K TV. Switch is a pretty cool concept but to me it's not a must have. Maybe when I travel more. By ESO you mean Elder Scrolls Online? I haven't played that one before along with Hitman. However, I also like the Naughty Dog games. Bioshock is pretty good too. I love the whole art deco sci-fi theme. COD online is annoying. Every time I've tried that I keep getting sniped out a second or two after I re-spawn. I think Battlefield is better overall. Red Dead and LA Noire are the only Rockstar ones I have. Sims I need to check out which was a freebie through PS+ not too long ago. Are you in any Meetup groups for board games or do you play those online as well?
  6. Okay, now I’m interested to know which video systems and games you play?
  7. Which online multiplayer games do all of you play? I'm looking to try one.
  8. Well done Fudgie! Sounds like everything was worth it in the end after the waiting period. I'm presuming you ran all the wires inside the walls after they entered through the drilled hole? Then in reading about all of your projects, you sound very skilled and I imagine you are saving money in the process.
  9. You’re right Cat. It’s been very difficult to comprehend everything that’s been going on over there. I hope you’re continuing to feel better.
  10. Yes I’ve had to phase people out of my life too. One of them ended up being a fraud criminal later on in life. So I’m very happy I have no connection to him. Another one was getting to the point where every time I hung out with or talked to him, it was like walking on eggshells. If I did or said the wrong thing he would go off on me with a profanity laced outburst. Then one of my friends phased me out for unknown reasons. We had worked together and started hanging out outside of it. He had me over to his house for his birthday. Then another time I met up with him and his wife for dinner which was the last time I saw him last year. I knew they were going to have a baby around now. However it doesn’t take long to respond to a text. I had texted him a couple of months ago to remind him that I wanted to take them out for dinner. Each time I reached out to him I never heard anything back. So I guess it goes both ways. I had always been told that people come in and out of your life at the right time. From what I’ve experienced, I truly believe that.
  11. Yes it sounds like you’ve definitely given it a new lease on life. What had to be done on the inside for the fiber Internet connection if anything?
  12. Great to hear that everything is falling into place. That’s a huge accomplishment and one of the biggest investments of your life.
  13. I say go for it. Then depending on how that goes, you could meet for a date.
  14. I agree with what everyone else is saying. You need to have a conversation with someone first and build some kind of a common interest ground before asking for a phone number and date. As far as dealing with rejection, it’s just something that we all have to learn to handle. I would even compare dating to job hunting. With each of them you are going to face a lot of rejection before hitting the right one.
  15. 64° right now. Expecting rain around midnight. Sleeping with my bedroom window open to hear it. Unless I’m in a deep sleep.
  16. Excellent! I know you’ll be happy to get that done. My family has two friends that are also Chatty Kathys. In fact one of them went for two hours straight the other day talking to my mother.
  17. I agree they’re just like chips. Can’t eat just one.
  18. I used to have an accountant do mine too. With Covid it was going to be difficult to work with my usual person. Everything I have is pretty straightforward so I tried doing it myself one year and was successful.
  19. I love historical architecture. They don’t make them like they used to.
  20. Yep I know what you mean with the taxes. Got that done just this past week. Do you also do yours yourself? I thought weekends were for staying away from the office. 😆
  21. What’s everyone up to this weekend? It’s been a great Saturday at home so far. Got a couple of domestic chores done. Might go out tonight after it cools off. Not sure about tomorrow at this point.
