We've decided to wait

I posted a topic about wanting children a few weeks ago. Some people got pretty emotional about it because they felt that I wasnt ready etc. But I said I would keep you updated.

 

My bf really wants kids. I do too, but I kind of wanted to be married first, but it wasnt super important to me. He has decided that he wants that too, mostly to gain acceptance from family because that is important for our kids. So he wants at least a ring on my finger before we go down that route. Because of school, we need to conceive in the summer. So by waiting until marraige/engagement which will happen after this summer, we are really waiting for another at least another year to get pregnant. I am just going to enjoy the time we have together alone for this year and prepare myself for next year.

 

And PS. Almost 4 weeks sober (pats self on back)

I had to wait until I was 35 before I had my first child but she's a real treasure.
