Where I am the temperature difference can go from -40C to 42C but it is the very outside range. So -40F to 1004F. But more typical is -25C to 35C . -13 to 95 . So a 100° difference thereabouts or more depending on the year. For me it is the cloudy darkness that gets me. Last year was the cloudiest darkest winter in 80 years and this past Dec we had 23 days of cloudy and foggy days. We pack down the vit D in the Winter. Today has some sun !!! As you can imagine I am so so so happy. We just came out of fog every day for 2 weeks because the ground was colder than the air .

I never know how to dress when I work in the office. It's in the 40s when I leave home at 5:45 am, but when I head home at 3:00 pm it's sometimes nearly 70 degrees! So the sweater I put on in the morning is way too warm for when I leave. I tried layers but shedding layers in the office is tedious. Not to mention the extra laundry.

Yeah, I would stick with just bringing a sweater .

I'm wearing a pullover sweater (what the Brits call a jumper) rather than outerwear. I have a mock neck underneath but it doesn't look good by itself. At least it's finally warming up in here. If it's too hot on the way home I can remove the pullover. I don't care how I look while driving home!

My stomach is still "purging" whatever I ate that it didn't like. Very unpleasant to have this happening at work.

I had such a hard time getting up this morning. Not because of lack of sleep or not feeling well. But because it's raining and I love to sleep when it's raining. I was so warm and cozy. But...today is a WFH day so I didn't have to get up at 4:15. I stayed in bed until 5:20.

I've been given a large project. It's tedious, boring and unchallenging. But that is literally what I do, take on projects that require attention to detail and gathering a bunch of data and compiling it into an easily readable format. It's BORING, but again, it's what I do.

However, since it's so boring I am finding excuses to step away and do other things. I have to have it done by Monday (which I'll easily do). But it's not particularly exciting.

Good luck -hope it improves as far as BQ.  Boring Quotient.

It won't. It's 110 lines all needing the exact same data. I have to look them up in the system one by one and record pieces of info for each one. A real snoozer. But I'm grateful to have this job.

Know the feeling. It's such a good attitude.

I'm not feeling great today. I'm super cold down to my bones. I'm wearing three layers (knit cami, mock neck pullover sweater, fleece jacket) and I still feel cold. I also feel lightheaded and fatigued. I'm going to feel worse though because I ate two granola bars that have 7 grams of sugar each. I feel a bit nauseated and will probably crash before lunchtime. I brought some hummus and wheat crackers, a cheese snack and some sugar free cookies for lunch. Maybe I'll feel better after I eat that. But I'm just so cold and feel so weak.

I slept great so it's not lack of sleep.

If your sugar gets high you have to do exercise . When I did my blood test this morning, I was super super super high like 18. I did 30 minutes of exercise and I was down to six in 30 mins.  I did 3 KM in 30 mins and I brought back down to a safe level.

I don't know if my sugar is high. I have no way to measure. Also, I have not been diagnosed as diabetic or pre-diabetic. Since my doctor never contacted me after my most recent blood work, where my glucose level was down to 99 (from 103 previously), I have to presume everything is fine. However, I am going to continue to consume little to no sugar. I can't exercise now because I'm at work in the office, but I do walk regularly.

I only ate the second granola bar because I felt weak and thought some extra calories might help.

I am ordering more of the sugar free protein bars so I can eat those instead of the granola bars I have now. It's just so hard to find anything I can eat. Everything has to be sugar free or very low sugar, nut free and non dairy. I have very little luck finding anything that meets all of those requirements.

It is so hard to find edible things I agree.

And when I do they're ridiculously expensive. I wanted some hot cocoa so I looked at the grocery store I usually go to. Regular hot cocoa mix is about $2 for a box of ten packets. The sugar free was $7.99!!!! That's ridiculous! So I went online and found a recipe. I'm excited to make some of that tonight.

I still feel cold and lightheaded.  Maybe I'm coming down with something, who knows. I just want to go home and take a hot shower and relax.

I drink hot 100% cacao with milk sometimes . But for hot drinks I’m 99.9% a tea drinker. Just tea with milk.

I mostly drink tea too. But in the wintertime I feel nothing beats a cup of hot cocoa. I bought some cacao and I have lactose free milk. The recipe says to add sweetener and a bit of vanilla extract and a dash of salt. I will try it tonight or tomorrow night if I feel too tired tonight.

I may ask my manager to go home. It feels silly because we had Monday off for the holiday but I feel so dizzy! I just want to go home and rest.

There has to be an issue because you have been dizzy a lot lately or just generally feeling off. There is something they are missing .

They did find some indicators that I may have some sort of cardiac issue. But the doctor did not order those tests to be redone, only the glucose test. I am planning to see my previous doctor because I really don't like this new doctor. But my previous doctor never ordered any tests other than the TSH for my thyroid, so I'm not sure he's any better.

The medical system in the US is not good. At all.

Not much better here I assure you . It is really bad right now . I am just glad I have a really switched on doctor.

I would persist though because that isn’t normal at all .

Every time I say something the doctor just orders another TSH, says the levels are within the normal range and then renews my prescription. I have had multiple tests done and they all showed nothing wrong. Including an EKG. And I LOOK healthy. My weight is fairly normal (130 pounds at 5' 2 1/2") so they presume I am doing well. It's frustrating.

Yes, and I have tried to explain this. That I don't feel well and I ask if it's normal to feel as though I have the flu 50% of the time and if it's normal to feel overwhelmingly fatigued all the time. And they just say "well, your test results are in the normal range". I had one doctor tell me that he's not ALLOWED to diagnose me with something if the charts say I'm within the normal range. I had another doctor accuse me of just wanting attention. I remember he said "I know the attention feels good but you can't go around pretending to be sick all the time". I was later diagnosed with a serious digestive disease and was hospitalized three times and ended up needing major surgery. And I so badly wanted to call that doctor and tell him to shove it because I am legitimately sick.

The other issue is my insurance won't let me go directly to a specialist. My primary care doctor has to refer me. And I've found that many doctors don't want to, whether it's due to ego or something else.

So I just end up feeling crappy a lot of the time.

I am confused today because yesterday I felt great.

I did leave work early. I'm going to shower and then lie down and rest.

I  hope you are resting and feel much better tomorrow.

Thank you.

I'm starting to suspect it's my digestive disease flaring up. I had issues earlier this week and there's been some pain and discomfort in my surgery area (where the reconstruction was done). That would cause me to feel a bit feverish, lightheaded and weak. I also had a headache which is another sign of a flare up. Nothing I can do except take it easy and continue drinking lots of water (which I do regularly anyway).
