Girlfriend of 4 years recently left me over text without real explination

Do it over text. That way you you get your answers, closure whatever and are not subjected to the in person drama. Simply not replying, stalling, etc won't accomplish much except escalating the games. Skip the get-your-ex-back games. Find your peace and get your answers instead. Simply text "what do you want to talk about"? see what happens.

A part of me really wants to hear why she put me through this, is that wrong?

This break-up might be down her mental health - or it might not.

 

I wouldn't rule out the possibility that this decision may be be based on sound reasoning and a genuine desire to part ways. Many of us are assuming it's her depression speaking, but it could also be a slow loss of interest and changing feelings that sometimes come with the territory of relationships.

I know if I do see her however I'll be like putty in her hands, can't help myself around this girl.

 

I either cut her off now and get on with life or I hear her out, lay down the law (contradicts what i just said but I shall try) and see where things go.

You should say no if you want your life back. If you want to get stuck in the cycle of drama say yes.
