Circumcised vs Uncircumcised

I always felt that as a woman I don't have very much say in whether or not my children are circumsized because I do not have a penis nor experience with this issue.

I would like to not have a boy circumsized simply because it seems like a lot of trauma for such a young age. What a way to enter the world.

But, when my boyfriend and I discuss it (I've asked him and told him my view) and he is very strongly for it. He tells me that being the one uncut boy in the highschool locker room would be a far more traumatizing experience and that he thought it was best for a few of his own reasons. I don't understand the arguments of 'it's healthier' or 'it looks bigger/better' as I do not believe that that is true. However, I trust that my boyfriend wants the best for his children and that's what drives his view.

As long as a man has a functioning penis, what's the problem here?

ASDF,

I have had long-term relationships with both cut and un-cut. I think the un-cut penis looks 'normal' and the cut looks abnormal. Obviously.

Sex with the un-cut partners has far exceeded the sex with the cut partners. They retain more sensitivity.

I am disappointed when I find out my partner is a cut victim. They work harder, tend to masturbate harder to compensate (further desensitization), and greatly risk losing the art of rhythm for the woman.

Beyond that, I'm as against male circumcision and female circumcision = equally.

Think about what damage female circumcision does. Men cut in infancy never consented to the mutilation of their sexual organ. Something is fundamentally wrong with that.

I don't care what your religion or beliefs are. In my opinion, if you're Jewish, let the boy grow up and then cut his own adult foreskin off without anesthetics.

If you're Somalian and practice female cutting, let the girl grow up and find her own rusty razor blade surgeon.

I can understand that that may be hard for someone to deal with, but we all have to learn to deal with our differences at some point, and doing something you're against just to save your son some embarrassment is caving to peer pressure IMO.

Having said that, I'm not really for or against circumcision. At this point, it's something that doesn't concern me because children are way far off in the future for me if at all.

  • 2 weeks later...

My sister-in-law and I were having a debate about this tonight, and I was on the side of circumcised. I thought I'd do some research and these questions helped me realize that when it comes to sex, I'm not quite sure how I feel now.

To answer your questions:

I prefer the look of an uncircumcised penis, and it's not b/c of being influenced by porn, I just think the penis looks stronger and less like an anteater.

I prefer to give a hand-job and blow a circumcised penis; less to deal with!

Out of over 20 parteners I've been with, only a handful were uncircumcised - and only a handful could give me orgasms. I'd honestly have to say that I've had the most pleasure from the uncircumcised guys.

(I've only now realized this... possible because I never gave it much thought, or really because I didn't care to pay attention!)

The 2 premature ejaculators I've been with were circumcised

(Yet the ones who lasted the longest and repeatedly were circumcised)

Overall, it comes down to pleasure, so in this case I'd have to say the uncircumcised win with me. Now that I really think about it, it seems as though the circumcised guys I've been with were the more selfish lovers. Maybe it's just like good-looking guys; good-looking penises are arrogant too!

Thanks, it's been fun pondering these questions.

I don't think it's a good idea to cut off your foreskin or labia as an adult. It is much different as a child. You shouldn't equate them.

She's not equating them. She's giving the child a choice in the matter. And I totally agree with her. Any children I have can do whatever they want with their genitals once they are no longer under my watch.

My fiance had to get circumsized, at 10 years old, because the doctor refused to do it when he was born, using the ol' 'mutilation' line.

So for 10 years of his life, my man had to have his father peel his foreskin apart with tweezers so he could pee without it blocking and causing infection.

...

Our sons will be circumsized, we already have a doctor who will do it as soon after the birth as possible, and I won't regret it a bit.

I think your husband's experience was atypical. Exactly why did he need to peel the foreskin back with tweezers? I am uncircumsized and my father showed me how the equipment worked when I was quite young. I just pulled it back to urinate. Did you husband have some other medical condition?

If you want anything good with the male penis it has to be circumcised. It does look better, smells better, it's cleaner and you give better hand jobs and oh my goodness the best oral you can imagine. So men if you are uncircumcised and want your mate to do these things get er done. You might find someone who loves to give oral to her man.

That is all your opinion.

Uncut is just as good as being cut.

And anything good?

Wow...I almost forget that there are men that are not circumsized (how embarrassing!).

I've only been with one man and he was circumsized (and black). I guess I would just feel surprised to see someone uncut, as I never have before (I think I've seen a pic...I just never considered that someone I end up with might be uncut). I also would be surprised about seeing a different colored penis than my ex's.

I didn't realize so many men were uncircumsized but I forgot not everyone here is from America. I think I like circumsized better, though, just because it looks better. I don't have enough experience to say though.

I'd have to agree with this. Uncircumcised just feels better. It's more natural, which is probably the way it was meant to be.

It does have its downside, though. Uncircumcised men are much more sensitive, so a hand job or oral gets pretty tricky. And then there's the hygiene issue. Even if an uncircumcised man is really, really clean, there's that odor that I don't really like, but you learn to live with it.

No thanx. I'm not into sword fighting.

=D> Good one!

How does it feel better? Just curious.

I'll leave it to the women to explain how it feels better. But I can describe the mechanism in action. Even though the foreskin retracts with a full erection, when withdrawing from the vagina on every stroke, the foreskin glides over the penis head, and upon thrusting forward again, the foreskin glides back.

With an cut penis, every withdrawing stroke causes the coronal ridge to drag against the vaginal walls. Given that we evolved to have foreskins, it's obvious that the vaginal wall was not designed for this dragging action.

How it works isn't really what I was asking, I could think about that and figure out how it works.

Coronal ridge? Like the bottom part of the head and where bubbles over the shaft? Wouldn't that dragging action provide more stimulation?
