I also agree with you that in general confidence CAN NOT be faked. However, by standing tall and looking out over a room, you can APPEAR confident, and to a certain extent this does take a small small ammount of confidence. My point was that in doing this, you are putting yourself in the situation where people are more likely to notice you. You are more likely to see little bits of eye contact, and with that, confidence should naturally grow!
