HellFrost666
We got this kitten three weeks ago and can't think of any name that fits her. We hastily named her Anastasia... but the other night my girlfriend told me she doesn't think that name really fits her. And I agreed. So now we are trying to think of something that suits her better. We are trying to come up with something unusual. We don't want to call her some cheesy traditional cat name. She looks a lot like an Ewok. My girlfriend went online and looked up all these Ewok names, but we weren't that excited about any of them. Some names that have been suggested: Raven, Lilith, Alexis, Lyra, Luna... Everyone we know throws out a few names every time they see her. My roommate said we should name her Magwai. I told my girlfriend we should call her Lucifer and just shorten it to Lucy, lol. There are a lot of creative people on this site. I figured maybe you guys could help us out. absinthe
She's adorable. The name Mishy jumped out at me for no apparent reason. Link to comment
metrogirl
Well you know I love looking at her.....and I'm still voting for Lucy..... But in the spirit of a popular pet thread, I am eager to see what the others think. Link to comment
Miss Firecracker
What a sweet little kitty, Hellfrost. I never get tired of seeing her photos. It makes me wish we had a baby cat. Our 11 year old cat wouldn't handle it well though. When I fostered one for three months she was pretty crabby. Link to comment
JonasWaingaro
Dang she's a cutie! The third (er fourth one) pic made me think Grumpy McGee. =p Link to comment
hers
I like lillith!! I don't really like lucy b/c it's a very popular name for cats and I tend to dislike normal and traditional names for animals. Link to comment

Even if it was short for Lucifer, it's still a really common name. Link to comment
lavenderdove
Gosh, she's adorable... She looks so elegant and serious... like a little elven wood creature peeping out of the dark. How about giving her an Elven/Elfish name... or medieval sounding like, Rosamund (Rosie), Guinnevere (Gwenny!), or Bronwyn, Briana (Bree!) or Ariel (a shakespearean character/wood sprite). Hobbes
What a cutie, amazing cat. I'm having the M something screaming out at me for some reason. Mogwai, Misha or Annie which it what we called one of our cats in 90s that looked very similar to her. That third pic is to die for, I love it when cats sit like that and fold their arms, so to speak. Link to comment
Sunny1607307996
We had a torti come in the other day named "Turtle". Loved that name!!! Caramel? Calli? Keiko? The C/K names are kind jumping out at me for her. She's adorable! Link to comment

In all these pics we have of her we've managed to hide the fact that he neck is almost completely shaved. It had to be, she had mats so bad that my girlfriend took her to the groomer and the only thing they could do was shave all them off. The last picture is the only one up there that was taken before her neck was shaved. One M name a friend of ours suggested was Maori. Link to comment
peanutbutterandjelly
awwww a tortoiseshell! I have a dilute long haired tortie. she is just adorable. i dont have any suggestions but wanted to comment on the cuteness! Link to comment
absinthe
Yes, that's how she strikes me too. Something with the letter M. Mademoiselle so you can use the diminuitive Maddy, while she's a kitten and Mademoiselle when you're mad at her! Link to comment
JonasWaingaro
Sasquatch! hehe Link to comment
vaporleak
LOVE HER. I would name her "bug", then I would call her "buggie". Link to comment
absinthe
Another soft sounding combination is "sh", like with Chantal. She's so soft, delicate and feminine looking. Link to comment
sophie274
Aw sooo cute. I'm very very jealous. What a little fur ball. She has a bit of a grumpy look to her, it's so sweet. I'm not very inspired right now, but I'll throw a few out. Leila - night in Arabic Mirka - has a bit of spunk, and I somehow imagine her (the cat) Eastern European Link to comment
mandyc
Sooo cute! What about Ellora? I just read that name in a book somewhere, I can't remember what but i thought it was different and cute. You could call her el, ella, elle etc. Or Arwen from Lord of the Rings. Link to comment
jengh
This sounds random...but the way her fur comes out around her neck reminds me of my old bearded dragon...her name was Hades, so that's what sticks out to me for some reason. God she's cute. I just want to snuggle her. Link to comment
HouseKitten
Marmite? That's what she looks like to me. Or Milly? My bf and I want to get a white cat, hang an apple symbol on it's collar and call it The iCat Link to comment
lavenderdove
You can always call her silly names until one really jumps out at you. I'd call her Kitty-Bits because she is an itty bitty kitty! LoL!! Actually, i have multiple names for my dogs, many of them 'pet' names like Pookie, chub-chub etc. So just love your kitty and call her what you want, and over time she may have several pet names, as well as her 'formal' name too.
