    You carry your weight well.

Losing weight for health reasons is great, but it by itself is not a remedy for attracting people.

If I may, can we see a picture of you smiling?

I suppose that could be due to my height, I'm 6ft.
I agree it isn't a remedy, but my self esteem has been so low because of my size, I'm better than I was but there was a time that I wouldn't like to go in shops, and I've only just begun wearing T-Shirts again.

I want to be able to walk further when hiking, feel comfortable in normal clothes....and essentially love myself a bit.

I'll smile on the next photo in a month (again a bit of a confidence thing....feel a bit silly.)

Thanks Lester, treat day today (nothing over the top). Gym tomorrow night and hopefully some decent fell walking too!

Agree with everyone else, congrats and wish you the best on your journey to getting fit and good health!

I struggle too in different direction (see my thread).

One of my brothers used to be very overweight, and omg you should see him now!

Proud of you Dale, keep going!

    Aww thanks katrina!
Well, off to the gym in a couple of hours. I've my Marvel soundtracks at the ready on the iPhone (probably some Civil War tonight). 30-35 minutes cardio then onto the weights. Going to up the weights a bit tonight....want to push myself a bit.

Back from the gym, good work out and nobody there which was a bonus!
It's funny as I can really power walk on the treadmill, but find the bike hard work.

Intend to walk 5 miles or so tomorrow evening....and I'm off work all next week so with a few more gym visits, I'm getting into a steady routine I think!

Morning all (well it is here in the UK).

Just to let you know I weighed myself, and I'm now 21stone 8Ibs.
Really pleased because I actually had my treat day on Friday, but realised I hadn't weighed myself this week.

So that is just about 3 pounds I've lost this week. Very happy!

Looks like it's going to be a gorgeous evening tonight in the UK (It's 17.06 here). Going to head out hill walking shortly with my best pal (my border collie). Probably aiming todo about 5 miles this evening. Will be taking the camera with me as I hope to get some good snaps. Love hiking in the evening.

I hadn't appreciated until reading up how many calories you actually burn off walking several miles.
