I always thought Brendan Perry's voice was such a good foil for Lisa Gerrard's voice. It's so earthy. Puts me in mind of Eddie Vedder, actually. But Perry's voice is much more powerful.

When I was in college, my roommate and I read a book called Lost Souls, by a little-known author named Poppy Z Brite. In that book, some character or characters in the book listened to a band called 22 Brides, which we had never heard of. Well, one day my roommate and I were in a local record store and saw that very album sitting on a small counter-top rack. We purchased a copy, listened to it, and loved it. It's quite folksy/country-ey, which is not typically my preference, but I enjoyed the entire album.
