I mean if you want to do this, it's definitely up to you, but it would be terrible for you to do that behind her back. If i were you, i'd let her know. But the thing is, when you said that you'll break up with her and go back to her after the fact, is how we pretty much knew she might NOT approve of it. What you do is your business, but don't drag someone's heart along the way. We are all different, and what you may feel about this subject will be different for her. I SO TOTALLY AGREE. If this happened to me i would feel like my heart was ripped out and i can tell you Sobo that even tho YOU dont' feel you would have emotional attachment about this finding that out would hurt NO less than fidning out my SO cheated with some random girl he met while out and about. Please consider another human being in this equation and that is her. Tell her before doing it so she can have the dignity to pack her things and get out of this if it is not something she can handle. When people cheat and say it didn't mean anything it is just a big a slap in the face because it makes us come face to face with the character of the person we are dating. It sounds like the relationship was one you had throughout highschool, the kind that are supposed to "last forever". It sounds to me like you need some growing up before you can take on an adult relationship and to care and love someone as an adult dose, not as a hormonal young, perhaps college level male.
