to the first who replied: how has your marriage worked out?

My family has a long line of unhappy, divorced and unsuccessful marriages. My mothers side of the family: -My grandmother: 3 marriages - marriage 1: divorce- too young - marriage 2: okay marriage- he died - marriage 3: long marriage- he died - boyfriend for 14 years -My uncle: Never married - Hasn't dated in over 20 years - Lives with his mother -My mother: 2 Marriages - marriage 1: divorce- opposites - marriage 2: currently divorcing- no love My Fathers side of the family: - My Grandfather: 3 marriages - Not quite sure about the first two - marriage 3: He chose his land and being in the wilderness over city, and she left him for it. - My Grandmother: 4 marriages - I don't know anything about the first two - Marriage 3: to my grandfather, three kids and the wilderness thing - Marriage 4: Some guy named Larry, not really in the family. travel around. seem to be happy. but 3 marriages to get there -My Uncle Tigger: 2 or 3 marriages - Marriage 1: Two kids, horrible divorce - Marriage 2: Didn't last long. okay divorce - can't remember if he had a third. but he's proposing to a woman soon -My Uncle Eyore: 1 marriage - Marriage 1: Happily married for almost 12 years. Currently divorcing. Harsh divorce. - My Father- 1 marriage - Marriage 1: Currently in divorce and sort of dating again. I guess the question here is- Am i destined to fail at relationships. I mean i know that i should relate myself to them but it's hard when that's all i've grown up around. Can i have a happy long lasting marriage? I would appreciate if you replied and gave me some thoughts. Thank you

Yeah I know. We've agreed not to again without them. We just had to be sure because we didn't want to (well i didnt want to) enter a store and be turned out. Which is a stupid thing to do, because there would be so many pregnant teens, as you guys have said. Thanks

If she broke up with you over something as small as a gift then she's not worth trying to get back. You'll find someone that apprectiates you and doesnt feel that you have to give them gifts. I think it's incredibly shallow of her to do that. You'll find someone. Don't worry

Thanks guys. I didn't mean to say that getting pregnant was any sort of an ideal position for me to be in at my age. But I was trying to say that if it did happen I wouldn't get an abortion.

Hi, My boyfriend and I had sex a few weeks ago for the first time. I lost it to him. I wasn't his first though. We didn't use condoms. We have yet to buy condoms. We don't know where we can buy them. I have been reading and reading as to if there are any age limits on condom buying in Virginia (which is where i am currently living.) I need to know what restrictions I have to buy them. Because I would rather not have to get my parents to drive me to the health center and ask for some. Because they don't know. And they're (hopefully) not going to find out. Unless I don't get any and become pregnant. Not like that would be a bad thing at all. But at my age (15) I think that it's a little early. Thanks
