I'll make this short and sweet. My brother is currently serving in Iraq. Although he's the typical older brother that used to shoot his BB gun at my Barbie house [what can I say? We didn't have cable when we were younger], he still deep down is pretty caring though he doesn't like to show it. Okay that was kinda irrelevant. Anyway, he's been there since November, and I haven't thought too much about it until lately. I obviously can't talk to him very much, the last time I had a real conversation with him was Christmas Eve and he sounded really sad though he tried to sound tough. So I don't know exactly how he's doing, but I worry all the time now. I can't concentrate in school, I space out at work, and it keeps me up at night worrying about him. He's a Medic, so people reassure me that he's a little more protected, but still he's already been hit by 3 roadside bombs. He's been lucky so far, but what if he isn't the next time?
I guess I just wanted to talk about it here because if I talk about it with my family, they get kinda sad too and nobody likes a sad sally I just wondered if anybody has some advice on how to keep my mind off of him, or any reassuring words that he'll be okay? Thanks a million and a HALF!
PS- 2 days until my 18th birthday!
