Meeting for the first time but cautious

I recently met this guy online and we hit off exchanged numbers etc but now we are meeting for the first time I'm extremely cautious because I don't drive ( got my license suspended about a year ago) so basically I'm ubering it to meet him originally the plan was for my friend to take me home after we ate dinner when I suggested different places where semi close where my friend lives and then he suggested a place and I said okay I kinda figured at the time he said dinner but when he said 830 I knew my friend couldn't pick me up because starts working at the hospital at 10 that's where I'm cautious I want to meet him but at same time I'm very cautious because I'm not driving myself there in going alone. What should I do not go at all or ask him meet me earlier if possible??

Just take an Uber home.

I thought uber, too. But some areas don't have them I think.

He can't pick you up and take you home in his car?

Just tell him to meet you earlier.

Considering I haven't really met him picking me up ( yes I know people from uber are potentially strangers) until I fully know him I'd rather not let him know where I live. Hopefully he will agree on the earlier time worst case scenario he says I can't do it any earlier because of work and then I will suggest we do on the weekend.
