Pain

Recommended Posts

I have been getting these horrible cramps in my vagina lately, seems to be coming more often in the last week or so. I had had vaginal soreness lately (my gyn said it was remnants of a yeast infection (yummy I know) but after weeks of no sex, I couldn't stand it anymore. I had sex tonight and normally I laze around after having those wonderful little orgasms. Yeah, tonight it was orgasms of pain, and where these cramps normally last 5 mins, these lasted at least 10. It is a debilitating pain, and I'm really not sure what's causing it. I'm going to make a gyn appointment asap, but until then, if anyone has any ideas or feedback for me, I would really appreciate it! and yes, I do have sex with the same guy every time lol

Hey girl,

The vagina can be a bit sore for a while after a yeast infection-- yes, not too yummy but sadly it's very common-- I have them regularly My advice is to really make love in a slow way, and check if you're wet enough before he penetrates. A lot of lube can help as well. It's a good idea to visit the gyn again, so she can check if there is something beside the remnants of the yeast. Believe me, I walked around for 2 months with the yeast, didn't treat it because I had no doctor in my new city, and it took me another month to really get rid of it. I just did other 'things' with my bf in the mean time

Last time I had a yeast infection was over a year ago. I didn't actually treat it. It seemed to go away on it's own. There is no itching or anything, but when I went in for my annual exam, the doc hit this one spot and oh my gosh it hurt so bad that tears were springing to my eyes. What I have been experiencing lately is like, actual contractions in my vagina, and when it happens, I can barely move. It will happen whenever, if I'm sitting in my chair at work, on my bike (almost fell off!) laying down, walking, whatever. It seems to be getting more frequent... I did buy creams to treat the old infection, and I did one treatment, but then I got my period, so I have to wait a bit to start again. I think it may actually be a tear or some sort of physical damage, but I just can't figure out why my vagina would be cramping up like that. Anyone ever experienced this?

I had a condition called vulvadynia which I developed after a yeast infection. My gyn doctor had no idea what was wrong to me but I was lucky enough to find a specialist in my area. Medication and physical theraphy to relax my pelvic muscles helped immensely.

I was unable to have sex with my husband for 4 months due to my symptoms. The condition finally went away on it's own ( I had it for a few years).

Google vulvadynia and see if your symptoms fit the profile. If you want more info from me just post...

I'm definitely going to schedule a doctor's appointment. it's getting to the point where I don't want to have sex due to pain during and after sex. After sex it's a deep pain, but it's not only after sex. I can be sitting and doing nothing and it will strike, but sex is just very uncomfortable lately. This sucks thanks for your replies. I googled everything and all I got was a vast number of possible issues, from cancer to gonorrhea. (reassuring) or "vaginal pain"

Make an appointment with your doctor. There could be any number of things going on with you. I had the start of endometriosis in my tubes and did not know it. Sometimes you can have a cyst inside that makes things painful... if its a cyst and not supposed to be there your uturus may contract to expell what is not supposed to be there.

Make an appointment.

Try a different gyno.... on your last visit you said your gyno touched something that shot pain up to your eyeballs. This is NOT supposed to happen. Its seems strange that he wouldn't have told you "why' or investigated further.

Also.... if your BF is larger than average, you have to be careful that you are fully... fully lubricated or you may get vaginal fissures. (tears). if this happens you'd have to avoid sex for a few months. Make sure you are lubed if he's big... or you use lube.

I wonder if he did tear me a little bit. he's normal sized, but we *ahem* get rowdy from time to time lol. A cyst also makes sense. I know it's not a yeast infection. I go to a free clinic just to have an annual done each year, I've had no need to go to a medical clinic for any girly things except to get the morning after pill once... the doctor just said it was most likely the remnants of a yeast infection (I think that theory's out) we tried to make love last night, and he had fun, but me, not so much. Afterwards I felt those painful "contractions" trying to start up. I wish I had time to see a doc! This is a busy couple of weeks. thanks for the advice
