What does it mean when a girl asks you if you missed her?

I put this info in another question I asked so I just thought I'd make a question on the topic.

 

Okay been texting this girl for a while now, sometimes we flirt other times we have serious conversations. Anyway just not that long ago, we didn't text for a week because she was on vacation. She comes back says "hi" then asks me "Did you miss me? 😉"

 

Why did she ask me that?

It means if you never saw or spoke to her again... Would you miss her existence....

Depends on the girl. With some it means they want to know if you care, with others its an offhand remark that doesn't mean a lot. It depends on how close you were or not.

Because she wants you to say "oh yes, terribly! I could hardly wait until you got back I missed you sooo much" then give her a bunch of compliments, flirting, attention etc.

 

It's a rhetorical question fishing for compliments and attention/validation. She wants to see if you'll suck up..
