DaisyHope
So....who finds the weekends the hardest? It's hard getting up and going to work when all you want to do is stay in and hibernate but at least you have a purpose and reason...but at the weekends and Friday I find it the hardest not only because I'm wondering what my ex is doing, who he's with but also because I miss my ex and what we used to do at the weekends and I miss the plans and future we had BUT also I find it difficult to do things because anything I might want to do with friends at my age tends to mean three wheeling with a couple... Clinton
I was divorced at 33. After the initial grieving period I loved it. I went out to bars, movies, the theater, hiked, fished, canoed, traveled you name it. And it was by myself. You don't need someone to go out and enjoy life, just do it. Link to comment
annie24
Lol - I was going to say that - don't worry, people get divorced ALLL the time!! Look at link removed or join a group or team sport so you can find other people to hang out with. Link to comment
bulletproof
I'm in my early 40's and the weekends seem so short. There isn't nearly enough time to do all the things I want to do. And lots of those things are on my own, although some are certainly with others. It doesn't have to be you joining a couple; your friends should be secure enough in their relationships to spend one-on-one time with you if that's what you'd like once in a while. I also recommend expanding your social circle to people that are single as well. Link to comment
SooSad33
Yes, weekends can be hard to cope... try to keep busy. As mentioned ^ try to expand your friends to meet ups etc. All takes time.. one day at a time. You will get used to is all, over time. tc Link to comment
